Would totally support this. Stations are WAY too small for what they do, unless their using "bigger on the inside" container tech that's as good as a TARDIS. I would vote for 2-4 exits on every station, pointing in at least two different directions. I would also get behind the idea of a "traffic control" display that's effectively the station's overview. There's really no reason not to have this..it would add no overhead to speak of since the players inside the station wouldn't be adding to the traffic. I also think undocking ships should be invulnerable until their controls are available for a couple seconds.

Just an FYI: Ships do have an invulnerability timer on exit (just like entering a system with Gate Cloak) and remains in place until you click any action such as AB, MWD, Align etc. I believe that it's 30 seconds to enable you to assess the situation on undock.

Appreciate the comment though and the addition to the thread.

I appreciate that and I agree. Would be nice to know if this is even technically possible...but I'm more curious as to what the community thinks. Devs monitor the forums quite often from what I've seen via here and Twitter so it may be on their radar or one of them may have seen it Big smile

Awesome idea. PvP should always atleast remain challenging, station camping atm requires an IQ equivalant to the average temperature of space.

EDIT: It's funny reading some of the PVPer comments. They seem to think that avoiding PVP should not be easier because that makes EVE a more wimpy game, whereas they don't think they should have to put actual effort into locking down a station.

Despite what you may have heard there's only one rule of EVE:

Never stop learning and realise there's always a lot more to be learned. To this end, seek wisdom in everything.

Correct, it is 30 seconds. There is one action though you can perform within that time frame without breaking the invulnerability timer: you can stop your ship.
I would have to remove my own post for the rule stated below if I would explain the several ways that action can come in very handy, so I will leave that up to your own ingenuity...Blink

So on that note: I have removed a rule breaking post.

Why should it be easier to avoid PVP?

Hah, camping blind zone-in spots has been lame since Everquest and something only risk averse bears afraid of challenging PvP engage in.
