Weapons activation

I wish i was controlling when my weapons active, when ever you jump/warp on grid, your weapons should be on sleep, it takes something like maybe a couple seconds for big ones, less then one second for small ones....

And yes i want this only to say "they are activating there weapons!" :)
it also seems a big waste of mechanics moving them up and down when i am travelling

But you can lock a ship and start firing before the unfolding animation has finished playing, if you're set up right. Why would you nerf that?

Immersion and realism, I suppose. Not altogether a bad reason for wanting something, although I can imagine this won't be too popular an idea.

its just a button that says now i am ready to fire, who cares if turrets animations are in need of being fixed all ready, in high security space id rather see allot of ships with guns packed in.

Also like Alvatore said, its immersion

Guns are physical things, when packed they take time to be unpacked and aim at someone for example when switching targets it makes not sense you truly have no disadvantage.

To me when someone targets you he should be white boxing, when targeting you with guns aimed yellow boxed, then when firing red boxing

Maybe you could set the auto target pack on but not make it target things that are not yellow boxing you

But if you wanna take it like a nerf sure what ever, well yes ships that are on grid first should have an advantage. If they are ready, its that simple

The reason weapon "deploy" when you drop out warp rather than when you target is because there are some setups where you lock and fire in under a second (yes, even large gun setups)... and it just looks silly when weapons that fire projectiles 4 meters in diameter "deploy" and fire in that time frame.
