Why does the Personal Hangar Array BPO only have Extra Materials in the Bill of Materials and no Materials?

I'd love to put some ME on this but atm it's a waste of time.

Same as all the other structure blueprints. Control towers, hangers, assembly arrays, etc, all the same, extra materials only.

Thanks for the reply but it didn't answer the core of my question.

But it got me thinking and i'm guessing it's a fudge-fix to stop the recycling of POS structures.

Got it on the nose.

NPC sold Towers were being purchased and reprocessed for PI goods in prodigious amounts in the days after Tyrannis launched.

Whyever it is, it's for all towers and tower structures so new ones will be the same.

It has to do with the reprocessing mechanic.

What is listed in the Materials section is factored into what you will get back when you reprocess something.

What is listed in the Exrta Materials section is not factored into what you will get back when you reprocess something.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

It's basically a mechanic that CCP are using whenever they increase the materials needed to build an existing item.

They put it in as 'Extra Materials' so players can't build loads of said items before they change the requirements and reprocess them after the change to get free materials.

I think they started this mainly with the mining barge changes but I could be wrong :)

So if it's got 0 normal material requirements and everything in extra material requirements then it's pointless doing any ML research since it makes no difference.
