Reassessing interests, which ship? For PvP/PvE?

After playing awhile and getting used to different battle styles, I have come to enjoy up close fast combat with very fast ships. So which do you recommend for PvP or PvE? Are interceptors good at all like the Taranis since I read its one of the fastest ships. I was hoping to have a ship fast enough with an afterburner to be faster than the majority of ship's tracking speed. Anyways, advice and direction would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you want a good fast ship i would suggest navy frigates rather than inties.

Inties are rather horribly gimped combat wise at the moment.

BYDI recruitment closed-ish

Thanks for the reply!

Do navy frigs bring a decent amount of dps to the table? Wondering how to use a navy frig in PvP and PvE, mostly PvP though, I'll mostly be doing solo PvP or small gang PvP.

It all depends on the Navy Frig, the comet is good with as a rail scram-range kiter or an in your face blaster boat, the Slicer is pretty much pigeon holed into kiting, the Firetail is fast and has a decent tank and decent dps, kind of a jack of all trades. The Hookbill I'd say is the best and most versatile, you can do pretty much anything you want with it.

A dual prop Ranis is still a great ship/setup. Use the MWD to catch your prey and the AB to speed tank it.

Neuts are a big issue though.

if you want to be faster than a ship's tracking speed, you could increase your speed or reduce their tracking Big smile

or both Shocked
