Just want to point out, we see this as a huge buff for low/null sec ice miners and we have already adapted to take advantage of this change. We are doing just fine.

But who says there's no new blood? It seems unlikely that all those new subs are alts. I'm in a starter corp (yeah, I know, but I like it P ) and there definitely seems to be a lot more new people lately.

I don't see a barrier for entry. It doesn't take long before a new pilot can be either self-sufficient or useful in a fleet (depending on how they wish to play). If you're meaning it's difficult for them to compete against a pilot who has been in the game longer and is using a booster alt, that may well be the case, but it's also kind've irrelevant if people are trying and then staying with the game (which is something the subscription increases would imply - they can't ALL be alts).

Regarding layoffs and stuff, I have no idea. Was that to do with the Incarna affair? If so, that was reacting to a specific situation rather than being indicative of a trend. If it's not to do with the Incarna thing, then I haven't a clue, but it could be a number of things that aren't related to how well Eve is doing.

This game is interesting for new players. Fact. Because there's a lot of new things, if you new enough.

How many canceled accounts will this change cause CCP start being realistic so you aren't surprised in July by how many you lost with this terrible change.

CCP expands existing contents and features, people get upset when it's called an expansion.

i know education levels have been slipping lately but there's really no excuse...

I too am mad , i logged in this week and when i undocked there where no instant 10/10 plex's on my scan.

Don't know their politics, or if Mittani is hosting ballot suggestions from corps in Black Legion's alliance (Noir's leader that was once a CSM), but if the stars align right, the blob will get their nuts cracked. If not by BL someone else just plain tired of the same o' same o'.

Why not join up with a null sec alliance and reap the rewards of an underpopulated null sec with better ice and relative safety, plus they are almost always looking for ice products so you can sell locally. Seems like a win-win.
