When I tried to start the game within the launcher, it told me the exefile.exe was a virus ?

It's not really saying it's a virus, it's just saying something about that application was behaving in a way that may have indicated something fishy was going on. I'd run a scan on the file itself, but I'm pretty sure it's a false positive.
