the t1 is actually better than the t2 or am i missing something here?

If not i was about to waste skill points in training to use the t2's when the t1s are even better power usage with exactly the same stats for everything else.

the only difference is the price.

but you are in essence paying more for the t1's lack of power consumption

i'll train the skills for the bonuses, but why have t2 gear thats worse than t1?

Because a) the T2 is cheaper than the meta4 and b) meta4 gear is not as widespread as T2. (There are several other meta4 modules, such as jammers and ECCM, that are better than their T2 counterparts; however, some (many?) PvP pilots still use T2 jammers due to cost/availability issues with their meta4 counterparts.)

As said, meta4 parts are not always available. The only issue I have, is meta level is a measure of performance and meta V (t2) should be better than meta IV. The other one is T2 plates, they are worse in every way to Rolled Tungsten, WTF is with that I'll never know.
