well i like many are experiencing socket closed errors that are a recent experience.

now iv seen on the forums that many attribute this to packet loss on my local ISP.

iv also read that the eve cluster is actually in the London area.

so i ping-tested my ISP's connection to England right after two back to back socket closures.

then just to be a **** i tested to Iceland as well here is that result.

now ping is not the issue here as that is a workable ping given that the connection covers over 4k miles.

what im asking is how do i resolve the constant game breaking socket closures?

so i talked to my local isp guy and we got no packet loss above 1% on our ping 87.237.38.200 -t runs while i had him on the phone we did however get time outs on 15-16 of 18 hops on a tracert on TQ's IP address.

so while crap was working right when i had him instead of not working right so i could get help he told me to run the ping cmd while i was playing the game to see what was going on. and this screen shot is what it recorded as it happened to me

as you can see in the screen shot it says destination not reachable for some time then times out then starts pinging liek normal and gives me a lower then 5% packet loss statistic

iv never had this problem before with this ISP started with the last retribution patch before odyssey release
