why do people think it's antisocial to shoot somebody in a pvp game while thinking there's nothing wrong with threatening physical violence on actual people just because they work for a company?

Because when gamers go all the way to have completely unbalanced fights and making sure they always have the upper hand and cannot be countered, that's kinda antisocial in an online multiplayer game ?

Because people working for a company that enables such possible gameplay and coddles people into indulging in it, deserve to get confronted about it ?

…aaaaaand that's why you'll never be a community manager in a sandbox MMO. Speaking of which, I seem to recall one of the first criteria for ASPD is an inability to conform to societal norms… kind of like not being able to play by the rules of a game.

Not really, no.

So you're saying that you want to hurt people both in-game and out-of-game? That's not good…

No, they don't. You're not forced to play this game; if you dislike the fact that such playstyles are allowed, you shouldn't play this game.

MMOs should all be no-restrictions total freedom sandbox. Unfortunately, very few are, since they've all been PRE-EMPTIVELY TRAMMELIZED because of GANKERS, who don't play a game, but a metagame, i.e. reaping tears, or Schadenfreude. EvE is a haven for those people, who are cash makers for CCP since they fund multiple alts and force people to fund several also, be it with isk (other people sell GTCs) or money.

If you don't understand that games are made for fun, and that more fun is had when your opponent is also having fun, you're a goddamn mongoloid.

But then you are one, since "The only people you can hurt in this game, are people who are not out to ruin other people's fun. I got no beef with them, see?" means,
"The only people you can hurt ingame, are people who are not out to ruin other people's fun. And those people, who either mind their own business, or seek balanced and fun for all pvp, I got no beef with them." Do you understand ?

If you want to solo, stay in High Sec.

It's really that simple.

Don't expect to be able to do hacking sites, even when spamming scan between nodes. New scanning system is so simple and fast you'll get ganked very quick.

This coming from someone who spent last year doing sites in the same region. Never got ganked once doing that.

I pulled half a billion in loot out of low sec exploration sites last night. My little Anathema could get ganked a dozen times over and I would still be in the black.

Also, it is VERY unlikely that you were actually scanned down. Most likely, someone else had already scanned the site down and was using it as bait. Some stupid sucker came along (this is you) and took the bait.

No, they don't. You're not forced to play this game; if you dislike the fact that such playstyles are allowed, you shouldn't play this game.

Absolute relativism is absolutely bankrupt.

"You're not forced to do whatever you want to do, people do whatever they wanna do as long as it's legal/accepted. If you dislike the fact that dudes go to southern countries to have sex with 8yr old girls, don't go to southern countries".

LOL THIS DUDE LOL HE COMPARED GANKING TO PAEDOPHILIA !!!!! XDDDDDDDDD

And yet, why should I idly stand by when a company puts out the most complex MMO to date, and turns it into a den of scammers and gankers, giving the clear signal to gamers that it's okay to be an online subhuman piece of refuse, lie, steal, and gank your way to success ?

You threatened to harm people out of game in your first post. Yet you think the people that play EVE are anti-social. You need to seek help. As I said before you have deep anger issues.

Because it's their game and it's up to them what kinds of player interaction they wish to allow and disallow.

No, just someone who understands that in a PvP-centric sandbox, you have no control over what the other guy finds “fun” and that it's up to him to make it fun for him — not you. That's why I'm having fun and you're getting banned.

I understand that you want to hurt people, both in-game and out-of-game. That's not good…
You also compared playing a game in accordance with its rules is comparable to pædophilia. That's also not good…

Absolute relativism

Because it makes for a fun game. If you don't think so, then there are games that are better suited for you and you should probably play them instead.

There's other ways to ruin someone's day IRL than punching him in the face. I'm very much super-social, but I can't stand that a video game company coddles sociopathic online behavior, and gives the subtle signal that it's okay to lie steal and scam (just as soccer does: it's okay to cheat).

Do you give back wallets you find? Do you help people with their suitcases or heavy loads in the staircases? Do you give drinks to workers in your building? Stuff like that, I do all the time. I try to go out of my way to help out my fellow man, just as I contract modules back to their owner when I found a wreck.

This game is now in a state that it's perfectly normal to be a perfect coward seeking only unbalanced fights, to scam and lie. I do have a very big fuking issue with that, since it's a video game and affects IRL behavior in subtle ways.
