T1 vs. T2

I haven't done very much since the tiericide happened. I studied all the patch notes, etc. and from what I can see is that T1 ships have gotten a buff overall as well as navy ships. I know they haven't balanced T2 ships yet so what I am wondering is how do T1 ships stack up against T2 ships in terms of power vs. cost.

Is there currently a smaller difference in the power between T1 and T2 ships (espcially frigs and cruisers where the difference might be more noticeable)? Let me know your thoughts on this topic.

Since all T2 ships have a designed role and niche the T1s still don't really come close in most cases.

There are exceptions, (Navy) Caracal - Cerberus anyone?

Rule of thumb, cost and effectiveness of hulls doesn't scale in a linear manner. The T2 ships will be better within their specialized role, but they can easily fall to T1 ships if they're operated in a manner for which they weren't designed.

Thats because HACs have not passed through the re-balancing process yet. I think that the Cerb will lose one of its 2 range bonuses for a explosion radius bonus.
