Where'd you get that from? I don't think I've seen it that way from any of the recent stuff. I'm pretty sure they're going to still work on establishments but are in need of a redesign.

The CEO interview, he said Incarna was completely abandoned.

Eurogamer: Regarding Incarna, we were expecting to have the other Captain's Quarters by now, along with the first steps towards station Establishments. Is there still a development roadmap for Incarna?

Hilmar Pétursson: We're releasing the racial variants of the Captain's Quarters this year and that's mainly because we had that work completed. It also includes some optimisations and other fixes. I think the community has spoken loud and clear that they want more classical Eve features to come out, and that's the priority for us. Incarna is there, and we might pick it up at some point later down the line, but the voice of the community is quite clear. People want more spaceships, and more flying in space features. That's very much what we are responding to.

For context, I don't think its completely abandoning. At least, I hope not.

They DO seem to be abandoning the NEX store, however.

Eurogamer: What's going to happen with Eve's micro-transaction store now?

Hilmar Pétursson: It's definitely not a priority for CCP right now. We're really focused on making kick-ass Eve expansions in the more traditional way that we've done so many times in the past. What becomes of the store and Incarna is something that's not a big priority right now, but there may come a time when it makes sense to revisit that.

Doesn't say completely.

I got it from the info in this thread https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=24159&find=unread that's why I was asking. They make it sound like it's abandoned

Reading it all, I have to say I disagree with that. If they are fully abandoning it, then thats a shame. Time will tell, though.

I hope spinning your ship was worth it because that's all you'll get in future.

well you cant have it both ways .... they work on wis and the basics of the game was being over looked and would of been for a while why thy worked on the wis and world of darkness .
there was a major amount of people crying that the basics of the game hadnt been adjusted or added to and no major parts addressed which needed it like the rails .
i think its good ccp are going back to the basics of the game play that made eve what it is , some of the fixes and what there adding (pod killmails) we been asking for for last 8 years .
it is a shame that to focus on the main body of what eve is they are side tracking wis but as people have said the community said that they wanted more ships , hybrids ballanced and ect.

lets just hope they work on it again one day .

It's a pity that Incarna is left without any playable content, like the 'underground activities' we were told about. But as bad as things look for CCP, I understand the reasons behind this. WoD was dropped because it is a non money-making and far from finished product and if it is not further developed, nor is Incarna and its multiplayer avatar engine.

No doubt we'll see CCP back in a position of taking Incarna up again, but not before Dust is out, I dare say.

They have been promising (And failing to deliver) WIS for going on four years now.
They are abandoning it because probably haven't figured out how to make it run on 50% of their clientele's computers.....Lol

kinda suprised tho still that its side tracked thinking about it with as dust will be out in the coming year and the interaction with eve players was gonna be based around that so it seemed.

If CCP thinks we don't want WIS content then they need to learn to ******* read.

It has NEVER been NO WIS ... I have been a loud mouth ass on these forums and it was always my feeling from the forum community that Pay to Win was the issue, we don't give a **** about monocles.

We WANT the WIS we were PROMISED, you know in 2008 where people could walk around in establishments and talk to each other and play little mini-games and if you were renowned and entered a bar, people looked up at you...

instead we got something which was a sledgehammer on our graphics cards because someone had the worst burr up their ass about making my face look REAL ... ffs my ship uses submarine physics, why the hell do you guys NOW care about appearances?

Give us CONTENT in Incarna, something to DO as Avatars ... not a single player jerk fest, I don't need eve for that.
Always ... Never ... Forget to check your references.   Peace out Zulu! Hope you land well!

There haven't been any actual interaction (as in the same room) showed or implied between EvE/Wis and Dust.

The only interaction that has been shown is some form of video conferance with a Dustbunny that shows up on a viewscreen.

Similar to the viewscreens we have in CQ already.

And note that it's two totally different 3D (and avatar) engines, one inhouse (WoD/WiS) and one licensed (for Dust).

The only interaction in the "Future Vision" video was between EvE characters, and we've had the ability to express our disconcern with those for a long time. Like killing their ship and podding them.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.
