PI Without a Customs Office?

I've noticed that many planets out in null sec do not have a customs office. Is it possible to do PI on those planets by using the command center's launch ability, or are the planet's products or the planet itself inaccessible?

no, you need to set a customs office in orbit, it costs 50 million or so i think

This is not try you can extract with the command center but not import, you could also set up a custom office but it costs about 400 mil to set up.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

Well we have two different statements now, I hope that someone will clear it up, maybe with a link? :)

I would love to set up a customs office but I'm not sure that I could defend it later and the price tag sounds pretty high.

You can always do planetary launches from a command centre. No launchpad or Customs office is required, and the PI resources are launched into orbit in a jetcan, which you can then warp directly to and pick up.

The storage capacity of the command centre is fairly limited.

Without a customs office, you cannot use a launchpad facilty, and you cannot import resources in order to perform advanced production.

Confirming the above.

Additionally, the cans that are launched have a smaller capacity and do expire after a certain amount of time. The location (to right click -> warp to) will be in the journal.
