Once a day relic spawns? (Labyrinth, Museum Arcana)

It appears that the relic cans in the Aphi Labyrinth and the Zimse Museum Arcana only reset on DT. They sit around as "Scattered containers" for the rest of the 23.5 hours. Is this intentional? They used to be 15 minute respawns (or so). This really makes some of those Cosmos missions very hard, and the BPC rewards much less useful.

Any official word on this?

I have farmed those two places many times, I was wondering what changed with the new systems.

Drop rates for high end materials there were terrible before, but if you can only try the cans once a day, then lol. Just give up on ever getting what you need to make the blueprint items. (waits for bailey plate to hit 1 bil+ because nobody can build them)

As of 1.0.10 update, the sites are completely missing. Labyrinth and Museum Arcana in Araz constellation, and I have word of Contested Kazka Headquarters too.

It's not limited to Amarr COSMOS, all hi-sec COSMOS plexes has been removed. Whoever it was that thought out "the bring a friend while hacking mantra", clearly didn't have any knowledge of the COSMOS plexes.

I was planning on running Museum Arcana, but it's missing...

This surely must be a bug? I found some old posts indicating it has happened before - that some COSMOS sites completely disappear...

Anyone have any news on this?

Confirming that the Museum Arcana simply no longer exists in Zimse, locking me out of 4 Amarr COSMOS missions.

I happen to think that COSMOS is the best solo pve content in eve.

Its a pity that ccp doesn't seem to give a damn about it, simply deleting parts of it that don't fit with their new updates.

I have removed some personal attacks and trolling remarks.

That said, I have reported this to CCP and pointed them at this thread.
If you find it impossible to finish COSMOS missions after the latest update, please file a support ticked under the 'stuck' category.
In all other circumstances file one under general gameplay or file a bug report.

The COSMOS sites despawning is a result of the patch 'fix' on Monday, June 24th 2013.

ie: "An issue with Exploration sites not despawning has been fixed. Now, when any container is successfully hacked a despawn timer initiates"

These COSMOS sites are meant to be static and not despawn in line with the other 'Exploration sites'.

For further ranting see here.

Well, now they made the problem even more apparent, i.e. despawning the sites after they've been completed. Hope this means a fix is imminent.

A support ticket reply that I just got last night indicates specifically that these sites (I listed the Museum Arcana, the Labyrinth, and one other I can't remember) are not limited to a single system, and that they're working as intended. Maybe we're supposed to scan them down now, but I've done that thoroughly in Zimse looking for the Museum, and didn't find it. I looked throughout all of Araz constellation for anomalies, but didn't find them there, either. Probably have to get the probes out tonight...

It can't be, it just can't be that they put plexes that have been put in an designated area since they where introduced, into the respawn mechanism of non-COSMOS sites.
So, they can respawn anywhere in the same region now, good work CCP if that's the case.
Also they are not put into the cosmic signature list, scanned out the Ani constellation last night.

Yeah, and not all COSMOS sites -- just the archaeological sites... I'll post here after I've scanned all of Araz...

The support ticket reply you got is wrong, these COSMOS sites are fixed and should not despawn.

CCP applied a fix on June 24th to ensure that Exploration sites despawned, the problem is that the COSMOS sites which contains cans which are also hacked or analyzed are also despawning.

CCP need to apply another fix and separate out the COSMOS sites and the Exploration sites so the 'despawn timer' does not apply to the COSMOS sites.

These problems have occurred because CCP, in their effort to change the Exploration sites with the launch of Odyssey, failed to do any proper testing or QA on how the new Exploration sites mechanisms would impact on the existing COSMOS sites which contain cans.

I'd certainly rather that be true than have to scan these sites down over a whole constellation.

As mentioned in a couple other threads, COSMOS missions are currently BROKEN, and CCP has not publicly addressed the issue. I would suggest you not do any COSMOS missions until such time as they are fixed. I know it means YET ANOTHER broken game mechanic, but we really have no choice.

The result of CCP's time honored tradition of fixing (breaking) what's not broken. Exploration containers were fine before, but they just couldn't leave it alone...Roll

Patch notes For EVE Online: Odyssey 1.0.12
Released on Tuesday, July 2nd 2013

CHANGES
Character Creator

New tattoos have been prepared for the character creator. Those tattoos are not yet available and will be unlocked at a later stage.
Clear glasses added to the character creator because capsuleers of steel need their disguises.

Not a damn thing in there about how the static plexes were patched so they no longer despawn but the original problem with the containers not respawning remains. CCP, this kind of BS info in the patch notes makes you guys look like fools rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic while it is sinking. Post the info about what was actually fixed and gives us a time frame for when the other stuff will be fixed. State specifically what it is you will be doing to fix it (e.g. Containers will be patched to respawn more than just after downtime and loot tables will be fixed to uncripple storyline item production).

The cans now respawn. Thank you CCP.
