"Connection failed" when launching the game

Ever since the servers went down I haven't been able to connect (even after the servers came back up). I made a petition about it a couple days ago but that was never answered. I can log into the launcher and hit "Play", and it launches the game normally. However, when the game is trying to connect to Tranquility, it says "Connection Failed" and brings up this message: "Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong." After trying to hit "Connect" on the menu screen, it still comes up with the same message.

I have tried repairing the launcher as a first step to try and resolve this issue, but I still get the same problem. Next, I uninstalled, and then re-installed the game. The same issue still pops up. I'm at a loss of what to do, especially if uninstalling and re-installing didn't fix the problem. It just doesn't seem like my client can find the server, and connect to it... but the launcher can connect fine.

Try running a traceroute and see what you get. If on Windows, hit the Windows key + r and type "cmd" without quotes and press enter. Then enter "tracert 87.237.38.200" without quotes and press enter.

You should get something like this: http://postimg.org/image/q8mxr2z2v/

What this does is "trace" the route your computer takes to reach the Tranquility server. If there is a problem with your connection then it should show up on there.

Yeah, there is something that is blocking my access to the server? The requests keep timing out. What should I do in this case? I am on campus internet (using the internet to play never was an issue until the DDoS downtime a couple days ago).

C:\Users\Jack>tracert 87.237.38.200

Tracing route to srv200-g.ccp.cc [87.237.38.200]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms Vlan217.css-dual-r1.net.umd.edu [129.2.255.28]
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * * * Request timed out.
4 * *

Bump. I would like some possible solutions to fix this issue of mine, so I can actually start playing while my subscription still lasts...
