New players need the high sec sites as an entry to exploration.
T3 cruisers have so many advantages for moving unmolested through low and null. can solo almost all pve content. CCP is doing you a favour and increasing your isk by making you move away from 4/10.

Need the sites to learn surveying, archaeology and hacking. I was doing some before the expansion, but it's difficult to do it when the sites are all hogged up by high levels. What's left are WHs, which can't be done without the skills. When skills take 12+ days a piece to even unlock the advanced skills to do level 4 missions in your lifetime, it's all a new player has.

Just jumping into a destroyer as a 3 day toon maybe fun pewpewpewing, but there's no shortcuts to learning those skills to survive and prosper. It takes months to get the skills leveled to effectively fly a covert ops ship to get down to low sec to scan (or just be cannon fodder). Core skills; defense skills; weapons skills; navigation skills and the science skills to even pinpoint sites well.

T3s belong in low/null. They have the skills to survive and prosper down there. Someone still scanning in a frigate (because they don't have the side skills to survive yet) has only one choice...high sec.

Go to Low Sec with your T3s. You make a lot more isk in low sec than you ever would in High Sec. It's pretty safe if you have it set up with the covert subsystem. It can handle the rats very easily.

OH NOES. Well guess what, now nobody else can use T3's in your precious 4/10 farm either. This levels the playing field for everyone in high sec. If you don't like. Feel free to biomass yourself and give somebody your stuff.

I've been watching T3s blitz 4/10s since 2010.

Every time CCP would go on an unholy rage on botters, in would come the 0.0 renters, their botters banned and thus unable to pay the rent, and they would be blitzing 4/10s like they were nothing.

I brought this up in the exploration channel and oh the insults and denials flowed like.... tears.

People have been doing this for a long time and lying about it. It's like "ooooh my easy mode". And now someone says there was no call for a change. Right. It's like Rock Hudson's sex life: everybody knew about it until he got sick then everybody was talking about it.

People have blitzed 4/10s with T3s for YEARS making a haul of it. CCP fixed that.

Life will go on. if there be tears to grease the skids, then so be it. Most of the people who will not like this are the ones who knew they had an easy mode and they deserve it.

Honestly, I waited a very long time for this day because I know a lot of names who are probably crying right about now.

I can appreciate this but there are many players who either do not make EvE a full-time job, and/or are primarily PvPers. I suppose they must adapt too even though they are contributing to EVE in every other way -- from adding content to blowing up ships. These same people don't breeze though PvE. Is it fair to them? Probably not.

I go for weeks without playing. If I get more than a few hours in a week, I'm lucky. So don't lecture me on "casual players". When I go to nullsec alone I stay out there for a long time. You want casual? Try a deep nullsec pocket where you don't see another player for weeks at a time, where you can hit explorations sites and rat with much greater take-in than carebearing it in highsec.

Do you think perhaps that some status means entitlement? It's bad enough we have gankers sitting in lowsec thinking they are entitled to more targets and coming into these forums demanding that the game be changed to funnel people into their death traps. It's bad enough that the nullbears cry all over these forums whenever there is a SOV mechanics change or someone asks for a way to break through the Great Wall of Carebear (meaning "their" space is not as easy to farm in).

But it's even worse when people in hisec with shiney ships who had easy mode suddenly act like they are entitled to it.

Sense of entitlement is a cancer of character, and whether it's a game or real life the world has only to hope for such events that it could be sloughed off, and those who cannot survive their little self-important bubbles being popped would only further inconvenience us when we have to step over their bleached bones.

Dude, if you think what I said is a lecture, you may seriously need to find some other happy-feel-good times.

Oh, and don't presume to know my PvP and null experience or boredom threshold, from which your sense of entitlement inference is severely flawed.

If , on the other hand, you want to *discuss* the topic intelligently, I can support my statement with ramblings about my leadership and PvP experience in both null and low sec. (and interactions with casual players).

Ok over a year ago i got my Loki for ded 4/10 site and now there locked out of them WTF.

T3 are ship to explore and you lock them out of 4/10's i understand 3/10 site but 4/10's.

If t2 command ships can enter 4/10 sites why cant t3's hell any battlecruiser can enter them.

So what the point of having a ship that made to explore when you lock out 4/10s and stick them to only 5/10 and up?

WTF CCP.

This information was given out months ago in the Dev Blogs and there was a lot of opportunity to comment before it was implemented.

Last night, I ran Blood Watch in an Omen. Guess what? It was too easy.

I will say, with all the sincerity and seriousness I can muster: learn to play.

Just yesterday I was running an unrated but equivalent to about a 3/10 in an exploration frigate and Proteus comes in, kills the trigger, jumps to the last pocket and starts killing everything. He ended up running back and finishing the Overseer while I was killing it (I cleared the sentries while he was chasing cruisers 150km away) and got all of the loot and the credits for the overseer. It just seemed like pathetic overkill. Seeing as how he was in a 600M ship and doing the same job I was doing in a 600k ship. Granted he did it faster but I could have easily picked up any T1 cruiser and did it in about the same time.

Also if you have to kite simple cruisers that far away and don't kill them 10 of them much faster then a frigate can take out 6 sentry towers then you are doing something seriously wrong.

Hotdropping a lone battlecruiser in low sec is overkill too, so what's your point? (The guy beat you to the goodies because you couldn't be bothered to ship up?)

As is customary in this forum, the whining about the original complaint becomes even more fermented, if not demented, then the original. Someone bring out the glasses as I try to sort which whine is most legitimate and why.

Wrong attitude if EvE ever wants to break 1mil players (and not over half extra alt accounts).

High sec is for new players. It's not designed for those with the skills to use it as a safe zone to play for usually low/null players.

Until CCP changes EvE to be a more PvE game, PvPers with OP ships in high sec sites designed for lowbies will chase those lowbies right out of the game.

"Time is money, friend" and they're not going to pay to not even play the game.

There's no excuse for you to not take your T3 and put it in the environment it was designed for...and that's low/null.

Time to leave home and grow those wings.
