Switching from full screen to window mode causes client crash (Isolated Cause)

I have noticed that the Mac client will crash when switching from full screen to window mode, I have seen several other posts relating to this issue but non seem to have found the cause.

(In my case) I have discovered that the crash occurs when there is an "always on top" window or notification dialogue that opened behind the eve client. Whenever I have one of these dialogues open the client will crash when switching screen modes (ether window to full, or full to window); However, if one of these windows is not opened the screen mode switches without issue.

I know that there have been other posts relating to this problem, but I thought it prudent to post a singular thread illustrating what appears to by the precise origin of the issue.

Hope this helps in resolving the issue.

Same here.

Since the Odyssey expansion I got at least 4 lockups when switching from window-mode to fullscreen and viceversa. The whole EVE window shows garbage and texturecludder and does not respond while showing some Data-Exception error or something. This is reproducable and has not occured in Retribution (or ever before since Apocrypha for that matter).

MacBook Pro 2010, MacOSX 10.8

Only programs running in background are Blackfire (xfire mac client), Adium (jabber client) and ts3.

edit: disregard that, the state has fallen.

This is exactly the problem I am having. I have notices that if you press esc, let the settings window come up, and allow the game to fade in the background, it seems to workaround the problem.
