Hey guys!!

Soooo I downloaded eft yesterday, it's been around 24 hours and my API won't work :(

I have the api set fully open the error message says "Provided key does not allow query skill information" etc...

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong??

I didn't mean to imply that he shouldn't - I might do the same. Just trying to provide some explanation for why this host is used, for those that didn't get it.

I just LOVE EFT Thank you for the ongoing support - My account is since 2004 and I always used it

Is it possible to add an Optional readout for DPS and EHP that matches the in-game Ship Fitting reradout please it will help us tremendously in the evaluation procress, sometime we need to compare vs another player's readout and our skills / layout is not known - then we can do proper analysis !

Hello

I wanted to let you know I noticed a discrepancy in the ship information for the Cynabal faction cruiser. The info box states that the Cynabal has a "75% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret damage." I was surprised as I didn't think the ship had any bonuses to Hybrid Turrets. The actual ship description in game lists a 25% bonus to Medium Projectile Turret rate of fire and no Hybrid Turret bonuses. It does not appear to calculate the Hybrid weapon damage listed in the info so I assume it was just a simple error when writing the description. Not trying to be a pain in the ass, I really love the program and want to do anything I can to help you guys keep it up, thanks!

Is there some way to copy characters API across to new versions each release or do we have to add API's each time manually?

When you only replace Files/Folders of the EFT\ directory, you should keep that information (which is located within the Characters subdirectory).

Don't trash the complete folder when updating, only the files/folders (and their contents) that come with new versions.

I think the way EFT calculates probe strength might be off.

Level 5 Rangefinding, Level 5 Covertops, T2 Gravity Capacitor Upgrade with a Sisters Combat Probe Launcher and Sisters Probes are getting me 64.5 Points of strength ingame, while in EFT is showing 65.2

Add one Scan Rangefinder Array T2 the difference goes to 68.1 ingame, and 70.8 in EFT.

Two Scan Rangefinder Array T2 is 70.1 ingame and 74.9 in EFT.

Every time I import a character to EFT then build a fitting, restart the computer I lose both the character and fit. This happens on two different computers. I have completely removed eft, and downloaded the msst recent version several times. I import a character, restart and boom its gone.

Am I missing something here? How do you ensure both characters and fits are saved before closing eft?

When I import a character I do check the save api information for character box. Can this be working incorrectly?

You've added them using the Character Editor I take it?

Do you have a "Characters" folder in your EFT folder? With .chr files in them for each character?

Because if so they should be available as a Character when you're creating a new fit.

How are you saving the fits? Exporting to XML? Because that should be fine.

You don't have a read permission on your hard drive or something? That would be stopping EFT from creating new files? Just a thought.

Do you manually Exit EFT before restarting the computer? Might be that letting Windows close the EFT process for restart prevents saving that information.

Anyone else having a problem where you can't "paste" the API data into the character "API skill import for xxxxxx" page? I used to be able to right click and paste or hit CNTRL-V t paste in but now it won't let me. I've tried pasting the data into a text file and that's working so I'm pretty confident that function is working on my computer. It just won't let me paste into the window. If I wanted to type all the string in, it appears it would let me. Just no paste...running 2.23.1

CTRL-V (and paste by using the input field's contextual menu) works fine here for both keyID and vCode fields in the "API skill import dialog for xyz" dialog with 2.23.1.

I have noticed that there is a fault in the Cynabal ships data:

Gallente Cruiser Bonuses (per skill level):
10% bonus to Medium Projectile Turret falloff

Minmatar Cruiser Bonuses (per skill level):
10% bonus to medium projectile turret damage

Role Bonus:
50% bonus to Warp speed and Warp Acceleration
75% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret Damage → 25% bonus to Medium Projectile Rate of Fire

New version available including preview changes for upcoming Hyperion release. Search for "TEST" to have Hyperion items listed. 100MN Microwarpdrive activation reduction implemented as an external effect (drag and drop it to Projected Effects to apply).

Thanks for reply. After some more investigation, I determined that my AV (Webroot SecureAnywhere) was blocking under the auspices of protecting my identity. I went in and explicitly allowed this new version in the "Identity" section of their console, and it started working.
