CCP I hope you are reading this.

I really appreciate all the work you have put into probes. A lot of the micromanagement has been removed and the amount of clicking required has been drastically reduced.

The primary issue that I have with the changes to the probes is the auto recover feature. For me this change is very frustrating. Some people would argue that because of how easy it is to relaunch the probes that the auto recall feature should not have a disable option.

But for me and how I use probes this auto recall feature is very detrimental. For example if I get yellow boxed on station and I want to dock to avoid being alpha-ed then undock again I will have to recover probes again. If I check another adjacent system to see how many people are in local, I don't want to recover my probes because I am coming right back. The most frustrating thing is that when I session change, I risk letting people in local know that I have released probes either on their overviews or on DSCAN. Often I like to keep my probes far off the system so they cannot be discovered, it's like a poker hand, I don't want people in local seeing my cards.

If anyone else finds this finds this update frustrating please respond to this thread, keep it at the top so CCP reads it.

Can't you disconnect from probes, do your station games, change system or whatever, then just reconnect? They said in the threads and dev blog that you could.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Ah, thanks for the response, I was very frustrated by this change, but disconnecting works great.

I still would like to see an option to not auto recover, I think it is a reasonable request.
