Issues, Workarounds & Localization

So I undock from the station, warp to my safe spot, launch my probes and open up the scanner. I notice that everything is black with the exception of the planet icons and such. I close the scanner and now, everything is black, can't see my ship or anything else, all I can see is the overview, chat and the icons, but the entire screen is black.

This is bugging me a lot since it's starting to happen pretty much 90% of the time, my first few scans when I first logged in a couple of hours ago had no problem.

Any reason why this is happening? Or any fix?
