Can we turn off the new jump animation?

What amaze me is lack of information about other games in this community. EVE jump animation is sad joke compared to jumps in TERA (yes - even that funny long-ears elven MMO has 200% better travel animation than CCP is capable to deliver).

To OP: look away from screen during jumps. Just like I do.

once twice looks cool , travel for 20 30 systems without auto pilot really makes you sick ... would like to remove it :(

For those of you that have read the books, gate jumping & warp jumping causes nausea in some of the characters.

So this is exactly like the lore of the books.

Get used to the immersion!

You can't get any more real than that.

You can bear this jump animation the first several times but after 20 fast paced jumps in a Frig i had to quit Eve. I'm not getting seasick or anything but the human eye is dedicated to track motion something from way back when we were prey. Your eyes are always focusing on this fast rotating zooming camera just before the jump, you can't avoid it and it is driving me nuts.
The actual warp effect after the jump is just annoying and unnecessary.

So CCP please let us have the option to turn it off.

Something that might be possible to do: Have a toggle for the autofollow camera maximum rotational speed. That way, people who get sick on the "lets turn a 180" jump camera could have it turn slower. Not sure how that works with the jump animation, though, but if the camera on a slow setting skips focusing on the gate and kind of "gets pulled" into the wormholm/jump tunnel, then there would probably be enough time.

Didn't really want to come here and complain about the new graphics but I'd seriously love the ability to turn off this new graphics. It was great for the first 5 jumps, but 18jumps later I want it off. Please allow us that don't want it to turn off the graphic setting.

Honestly, every time you add something fancy like this, you should add the option to disable it. No need to bring back the loading bar, just display a static image or some such.

I mean, I appreciate the new graphics, but I can see where people are coming from (personally I think the transitions between camera angles do need some work, they're much too fast and snappy now), and surely it's just an on-off checkbox in the graphics settings. It's not like it'd be a huge amount of work to add in an alternate setting that's a single image.

Basically, like what you want but don't ***** when other people do the same and end up with different preferences.

There would be a lot less crying if CCP didnt change things that dont need changing.. was fine the way it was. Its just flipping eye candy, cool for a few minutes, but gets old.

Just once, it would be nice to see CCP not trash a working system entirely in favor of a shiny system before all kinks were worked out.

Well, for the new 'animations', now that i got to try them out.

They are not soooo bad in themselves that I could not bare them once in a while, but having played now for 2 hours and only docked/undocked and jumped less then 10 times I already find myself alt tabbing once the sequence is about to start (especially undock) and checking my alts or the forum for a 'refresh' ... that should say enough about efficiency of the new effects and can´t be in the intention of the inventor.

Again, some things look nice, but are bothersome if endured over an extensive amount of times and repetitions.

And its the second time I left my empty navy drake on a jumpgate hanging to type here... if I get ganked, well, saved me watching the sequence ONCE AGAIN °°

The new system is terrible and makes me feel nauseous every time I jump.

Just like there was no way of using the 'old system' (ship spinning) when Walking in Stations was introduced?

Not that it's bad, but when you're having to make a lot of jumps it gets to be a bit much


+1 for the on/off option if possible
