Understand this.

CCP do not give a F*** about if you like the graphic or not, whether it affects game play or not.

They want it, it stays in game.

We want the option, it stays in game.

+1 for the choice to remove the annoying jump graphic... BUT... It won't happen, because they don't give a F****!!!!

CCP.

Please give us a choice.

Please let us choose whether the stupid system scanner happens EVERY time!

Whether the jump simulation happens EVERY time!

Please let us choose if we have to use the new horrible launcher.

Please let us choose what happens when we click on the scanner button instead of the horrible radial menu. What a waste of time!!

Unless I am missing something there is no option to remove these crappy graphics?!

as well, it's pointless on the Gal. gates anyways... you only get to see the back end of the gate.

Hi,

I asked on the test forum few days before the release date, to get an option to make it optional because it becomes annoying fast and for some tactical reasons, but I didn't jump more than 4/5 systems.

Now that it is in TQ, I do not fell well when I use the gates as I do slightly more jumps than in the test server. I think I don't suffer like the extreme cases related in this topic... but I would really appreciate if CCP offer an option to make it optional, or maybe better and easier to code for them, an option to just UNLOCK the camera while jumping, so that the player can compensate the eventual feeling of sickness by being in a third-person view and playing with the camera, as we can already do in warp.

The new jump animation introduces too much lag when multi-boxing. is there a way to turn it off? If not, please give us the ability to use the old system again.

there is no old system anymore

so no then

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

+1 for an option to turn it off, makes me wanna vomit.

Also, scanner setting resetting after each jump is mildly annoying (just like the safety button when it was introduced).

Please Allow us to turn it off.

I have a fairly old cpu core 2 duo at 2.6, 8 gigs ram and a 6850. I used to be able to run 3 clients pretty well. Now it lags on jumps and puts me slightly behind in fleet with only 2 clients going. Not to mention it is not enjoyable to watch after the second or third jump. CCp should go a 50+ jump roam then tell us how they enjoy it.

Please remember more people than you think play eve because of the low system requirements. If I have to update my PC I won't be affording 3 accounts anymore. Nor will I keep 3 accounts going if they won't run semi smooth simultaneously.

Hey CCP!

What about making the new jump animation optional?

Those of you with motion sickness could simply avert your eyes elsewhere for the 2 seconds the animation runs. Problem solved.

Ok I understand this is meant to be facetious, but the irony is this is what I am actually doing. I have put another monitor up and read the forums in between jumps.

Just to be clear though, this isn't "problem solved", it is a user workaround and not a very acceptable one.

Still would like an on/off button please.

Same for me. I have to look away at each jump and i'm not happy about it. The animation was kinda cool the first few times i saw it, but now i cant even look at it anymore. I'm sure lots of effort went into making it, but please for the love of god let me turn it off.

And give us control over the scanner while youre at it too please.

Horrible horrible effects, makes me wonder where EVE went?

Why does CCP want to please the 15 year old crowd with theese crappy FORCED animations?

They are nice to watch once maybe twice, then they just become annoying.

Just got home and was gonna hop onto the server and see what was up. Then I remembered.... new-EVE™ is now exclusively for the pre-pubescent roller-coaster-loving crowd. Arg.

So never mind. I think instead I'll check out one of those sci-fi books that the Mittani's always reviewing on his blog. :) Time to develop some new habits, I suppose.

Oh, notice btw that we still have no real response from CCP (no surprise) and no input from CSM (what do they do again?).

Hey, I know, let's just turn off ALL the forced animations. We'll make it entirely a text-based game, no graphics at all Roll

Silence is a perfectly valid response. However, I tend to find that when in doubt, CCP's default 'silence' response can be found here.

Again: we are only asking for the option to turn off the damn animation. It's not really much, is it?

Brute silence in the face of arguments and evidence is the response of a narrow, dictatorial, tyrannical mind. This is something that every half-witted bully holding a cudgel dimly understands. The fact that you find it normal makes me worry.

CCP owes a proper reply. And the CSM seems asleep at the wheel.

Where did I ask for a text based game?

Have you ever tried reading the stuff you quote before replying?

Making theese animations OPTIONAL, like, say, practially every other effects are in the game would make theese graphics in line with every other animations in EVE. You can choose drones, effects, camera shake effects and practially everything else... so, why make this gate animation forced?

I dont mind new stuff, but the new expansion forgot the very core of EVE - making it optional.
