Odyssey Skill confusion

Hello, I've been training to sort out my skills for odyssey, being command ships and whatnot, and I log in to find some rather curious anomaly's, in the screenshot you can see me sitting in my nighthawk, as I could before the expansion dropped however according to the fitting window I have 44 days left as a prerequisite to use it, can anyone explain what I've missed in some patch notes, thanks

Thanks for the reply, So my assumption is I've somewhat screwed myself over by not taking this into account, or can I inject the skillbook now and it'll update?.


This is an odd thing considering I could also fly a cerb before energy grid upgrades V is a requirement, (i had it at 4). And now I apparently can not fly the cerb, I assumed that would be updated to V as well.

For the 138,657th time.

The prerequisites are required for injecting the ship skill only. They are not required to fly the ship. Therefore if you can fly it before the change, you can fly it after.

In short, if you could fly a Nighthawk before the skill change, you can fly it after.

Destination SkillQueue:- It's like assuming the Lions will ignore you in the Savannah, if you're small, fat and look helpless.

No you have not screwed yourself. No you do not need to inject any skill books unless you wish to. No, there is nothing wrong here.

The 'Please kill me' comment was because this topic has come up 50 or more times in the last month.

The pre-reqs for the Command Ships Skill have changed (as per the dev blog from months ago). Since you had already injected the Command Ships Skill book, that change does not affect you in the slightest.

Back when I graduated high school, I had to take typing on an actual typewriter. Now they use computers for the class, but I still have my diploma. The prereqs for graduating changed, and yet I didn't have to go back and take the new ones.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
