There is no reason to run a repair. We tried multiple clients on the same frozen account and witnessed the same behavior.

Don't wreck your client trying to fix something that is not a client issue.

Petition NOW.

Your accounts that are "stuck authenticating" actually are still :"logged in". Your ships will be in space where you "logged off". I see my character sitting in space on my tengu. IT HAS BEEN LOGGED OFF FOR 2 hours.

FILE STUCK PETITIONS NOW or you will lose your ships if you logged somewhere hostile.

Petition, really whats the point, it will take them at least 2 weeks to get back too you

Has anyone stopped to think that these issues my be a result from yesterdays issues? If maintaining a massive server to run an MMO like EVE were easy..dont you think a lot more people would be doing it? Stop complaining, post your issues, be constructive and wait. CCP will work it out in due time. I'd rather them take the servers down for as long as needed to fix these issues instead of trying to appease angry ppl and have them persist.

That is the new current maximum. We were the lucky ones to get booted for them.

Welp. Odds are this won't be fixed quickly. Seeing as we're just hours from the Odyssey downtime, we'll see what happens -- whether CCP tries to press forward, or whether they delay Odyssey to fix the latest server connectivity issue.

If my shiny ship is lost, well, petition time -- if not, no skin off my back.

I'm going to go read a book. Good luck, folks!

No that number of players has been exactly the same over the past hour I've been trying to authenticate.

Stuck here too...booted off with 'socket closed' and now the same error as everyone else:

"connection timeout - the server failed to acknowledge the client response to the servers challenge within a reasonable amount of time"

I love paying for a game I can't even log in to reliably. DDoS attack...yeah, was that the problem with the new launcher too?

I don't think anyone here thinks that running the EvE Supercomputer is easy, we are just trying to make some noise so if one of the devs is surfing the forums he can tell us exactly what's happening.

This is not a standard MMO.

This is a MMO with permadeath.

This is a game where CCP's logs dont show anything most of the time.

People care because they are stuck in space in supers, capitals and other expensive ships.

I will say this, in any situation whether YOU the consumer pays for an item, you have the utmost right to be upset with whoever provides, stop being a fanboy. yes it isn't easy running an mmo, especialy one where you have thousands of players on the same grid but frankly that isn't our problem to begin with

Also we have to make noise and rock the boat or who will notice... a dev when they decide to log in and suffer the same issue? Its not like there are alarms at CCP that sound when a hick-up happens. Its the community giving feedback that puts the fix into action, other wise it would go unnoticed until someone that works at CCP logs in and sees there is a problem for themselves.
