Let me set the destination in the destination bar

I find this is usually do to the sov tiles, if you turn those off it may speed up to around 10-20 seconds..but still, for the interface most likely to be used for plotting courses, it really needs an overhaul in general.

OR, they could I dunno, add a shortcut to the general UI in a place that is already used for it...

I usually use my Assets window, or my Bookmarked People & Places, or for some cases I've hyperlinks in some Notepa documents. But yes, more ways to select destination might be good. And I never use the F10 in-game map, because it's slow and awkward. I much prefer topological maps such as Ombey's 3D Maps.

This is 10 years overdue. I really don't know why we still have to work our way around the UI to set a destination.

Since People & Places has much less delay than the map (and is always open in my UI setup) I personally have no need for this but if it is really easy to implement it would be a nice addition. For me it would mean clicking through a new UI instead of entering the system I want to go to in a search box that is already there :)

No need for that, really.
U can manage your Bookmarks for regular destinations.
If u type it in a chat and link it or if u type it in a destinatioin bar... where's the comfort?

Oh, and, no, not more comfort ^^ Eve shoudl be a harsh place and blahblah blah....EvilEvilEvil
