With Test faling, how will this impact FW and incursions?

So you're saying it's a perfect fit for eve general discussion Big smile

I mean, there's no way a community originating from off-EVE could ever hold up to that sort or crushing blow. All the organization, resources, friendships, all that instantly just goes poof.

My take on a hypothetical TEST failure (not really convinced they're going to lose their sov personally):

Edit: Well uh, perhaps not just get kicked out of sov null entirely. I might be slightly behind the times due to RL Oops

TEST would partially failscade in a manner somewhat different from their normal state of affairs failscading they claim to be in. When goons accidentally all our sov several corps did leave, decreed the worst of the pubbie corps sometimes when they were often denigrated as such before, but sometimes really only seriously afterwards. Many corps did stay, and of course the fact that our sov loss was caused by gross incompetence probably exaggerated things.

TEST might go through a similar phase, the loss of bloat to loss of good men ratio depending on how cohesive they truly are. What they'd really be likely to do in a failure cascade is lose the members of their coalition to different coalitions, except in their typically adorably willful manner they have already cast off most of their coalition members Smile

I mean they probably wouldn't keep all their current allies either but eh.

TEST is the one with the dinosaur right? Dinosaurs are extinct, so clearly TEST is dying. I'm not that invested in nullsec politics, I hope this information was usefull to someone.

Where will the 11,000 chars go?
How many will stay in null and reform / be absorbed in other alliances?

I imagine that quite a number of test players already have fw and incursion alts, but just how many more are going to be joining / competing?

Null sec players who have been living on engorged income streams are not going to want to go back to level 4 missions.

Pretty sure that they're still going to be a LOT richer than highsec pubbies through savings alone.
I've never met anyone poor from nullsec, and I'd say that about 50% have a super alt and 20-30% a titan alt, of those I have spoken to.

No offense, but you don't get out much do you?

Right, wrong or indifferent, there are plenty of poor people in null sec for a variety of reasons, not limited to: their own failings," just" logging on to pew pew, through FC/Alliance poor management /calls/pricey FoM doctrines, scams and less than optimal locale (reds/upgrades etc.). This while the rich (stationites) get richer. And no, I'm not bitter. I learned my lessons.

In order to fail doesn't one first have to succeed at something...

Not today spaghetti.

See, TEST is why I still play EvE. If I had to join some dullard super serious corp and fly with a whole bunch of rules and restrictions, that wouldn't be fun. So I wouldn't do it.

TEST is also more then an internet spaceship alliance. Believe it or not, the members of this alliance play other games, and talk to each other, and do things together in real life! It's amazing, I know.

So TEST isn't "dying" or "melting" or "disappearing". We play a game together for fun. We aren't going to dry up and blow away because some super serious internet nerds took some real estate in a game. We'll continue to have fun, and those other guys can continue to grind the fun out of the game.
Have you seen some of the rules/regs for being in the "other guys" alliances? How draconian and boring.

Ok, one more. Even IF they failed tomorrow, they have made a major impact on EvE, and will be part of its relevant history, and apparently enjoyed the ride in their 3-year or so "test." I consider that a success. Plus they made me laugh at a critical time (when an FC call made me weep) when they smacked me in Linux code.

I agree but believe it or not you can have fun and not be "****", you guys just need decent FCs/leadership.
But anyway funny how goons and friends stale the game forever when they have the best space and then when CCP change moongoo suddenly "an epic war", "looking for goodfights", etc.
This is hilarious, sure I dislike the average goonie grunt because they are so obnoxious but goons leaders are probably my favorite eve players.
Keep it up guys Lol

You guys should really try to get into the loop and listen into some of their alliance meetings.

TEST is not falling, everything they're doing was planned months ago.

Enjoy vicariously beating up TEST through FCON, though.

BTW, I'm pretty sure TEST Alliance is better for EVE than any of you.
