A question might be, EVE servers are hit by a meteor, it's all gone but EVE is going to start back up tomorrow. Will you sub up and do it all again?

The biggest hurdle to an EVE today would be getting people to play it that don't have a hobby investment a decade in the making.

Or just have one-way wormholes to another galaxy, largest thing that can go through is a battleship. Only the entrance system has NPC presence and a station, players would need to build stargates and stations in other systems.

Might be fun...

The question isn't whether or not people would start over. Players make alts all the time. The question is whether CCP would use the clean slate to make EVE better. Dreads, carriers, etc being the biggest ships along with titans being sent off. It is a nice idea to create ships used as catapults in medieval terms. But not when those catapults can nuke entire battle fields.

I would play on a new server so long as this subscription stayed. One account sub with two servers to choose from. It would break the whole single shard aspect a tiny bit. But that was never my greatest selling point for eve especially since the Asian server does the same thing.
