see a lot of T2 BPOs sold on forum and wonder if the owners got some leaked information about a possible nerf.
Anything?

I personally think its long overdue.

I doubt it, because that would require taking things away from people who have them. That wouldn't be fair.

people got enough profits from them over years already, so why not "take them away" from people?

How would you feel if you'd spent 10 billion on an investment two months ago and CCP took it away from you without compensation?

I would feel bad for sure.
But better 50 massive T2 BPO owner quit the game than the rest.

What did those '50' (maybe more, maybe less) do to deserve having a large portion of their assets removed without compensation because they bought something that had a very, very long ROI (more than 10 years at current prices)?

And why would the rest be quitting?

Why?

What is it about T2 BPOs that offends you?

First, I don't care about T2 BPOs one way or ther other ...

I doubt CCP would just poof them away with out any compensation. Shouldn't be too much of a task to discover the most recent prices and drop ISK in wallets, assuming they ever choose to do that sort of thing.

Yes, huge nerf coming. I know what you are thinking, we've heard this before! But no, this time it is different.

Nobody is quitting because of T2 BPOs, so this isn't actually a valid opinion to hold, because it's predicated on some idiotic scenario you have fabricated from nothing for your own convenience. Better nobody quits than 50 massive T2 BPO owners quit.

Anyone who thinks T2 BPOs are unfair is preternaturally stupid.

They're simply a low risk, low return investment vehicle for very large sums of money.

This chestnut is really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really old
Give it a rest OP, there have never been plans to get rid of the T2 BPO's, and since no doubt this is a "waah I can't make money with invention because of the T2 BPO's, it's so unfair" thread, learn to invent other stuff that hasn't got BPO's

It's not stupid to think that the method by which people got the T2 BPOs was unfair. That doesn't mean if you think that, that you think there is a problem with them.

Also, CCP in one stream or another have tossed around the idea of making them BPCs with an absurd number of runs, so it's not accurate to say there have never been talks about removing them. That said, I'd guess they would give a good year of notice before doing anything like that.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Yes, actually, it is. The lottery wasn't a good gameplay mechanic, but it wasn't unfair in any particular way.

There's really only one practical way they could ever remove them, and that would be to buy them up over time, in secret, most likely with confiscated ISK.
