Guess its a World of Tanks night then
Thanks CCP you are making a decent product into a **** game :(

I hate that they removed the log off option, but that is a different topic for another forum.

Been very unreliable for me since about 09:00. Several socket closed errors.

I guess this will be lots of fun after new expansion is deployed :D

Lots of more people wanna play and server are now already unstable with "socket closed" DCs.....

Will CCP pay for the losses caused of this bug? I can imagine nobody willing to fly capitals at this unstable stage of the game atm.

I haven't been able to get on at all since the original crash.
Can't ping CCP and the launcher starts in offline mode all the time saying there is no connection to the servers

New Trace route shows that requests started timing out at one of the London Packet Exchange.... Could be an issue there and not necessarily CCP.

It means it just dies somewhere in London so there is probably an exchange (they route your internet data) down somewhere and isn't re-routing (which it should do really).

so...it might not actually be CCP's fault and in the style of every petition "game working as intended"

Perhaps the ones who complain about CCP's stability with the server should also consider this could be an issue with the internet in london. Just because you cant connect to TQ or SiSi doesnt mean its an issue regarding game stability. As someone mentioned earlier, they received 100% packet loss. If this is going on, more then likely its because of a connectivity issue on their end as in, some internet issues in the area the servers are hosted. This may very well be an issue beyond the ability for CCP to do anything about. I very much doubt if they slapped an old release say...Trinity on, it would be available.

However, that is just my take on things...continue to believe what you will Big smile

CCP's servers are at Packet Exchange (which is the L3 "peering" point) - if you can call anything L3 does "peering".
