Isn't the army of ISDs locking and moving everything killing trolls well enough? Or are they not around that much anymore?

until now i only have seen them coming when comments get reported, and most trolls are not blocked by them, they just can go on in another thread

Think of the forums as literal pvp. When you respond in anger or even defensively you show a vulnerability, and much like a warp scramble the game is afoot. It's much better to read what is written and give yourself a few moments to think clearly about it. Determine the posters intent and respond accordingly. If the person has a legitimate argument be careful how you respond, it is very easy to initiate the trolling yourself.

Otherwise, If you have wit be subtle when replying, underhanded insults can be fun. If you have tact, be graceful, kill em with kindness. Barring that, continue to respond to others but make a point to somehow acknowledge your tormentors presence, while making it clear they are insignificant to you. You are winning when they are clamoring for your attention, trying to elicit a response.

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

I've never had a problem being disturbed by inevitable troll posts, they can often be amusing.

I suppose it depends on your definition of troll.

According to some a troll is anyone that disagree's with them. In that case (especially) blocking their posts is simply admitting you can't refute their point of view.

I'm not concerend about different opinions, trolls for me just try to make something silly out of something serious thats why it is annoying... however i was told to be a troll as well because others did not agree with me, so i know that other side of the definition as well

I don't use it but I have the feeling I am getting on more and more blacklist everytime I post.

Soon, I will be able to create troll threads and not be called out on it because noone will even see the post.

I didn't realize that we had a Hide Posts feature, but I will be using the heck out of it going forward. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

clearly that would be the best way to react and i try to remind me of that as well sometimes, however i get a hard time responding to comments who did not put any effort or brainpower into my original post, so why should I put any effort into that person, maybe its also my temper, i think at some point I have to decide if it is worth it, and often I feel it is better to ignore right away

I've never blocked anyone and I'd like to think no one has blocked me.

But I suspect that is not the case.

It has always been easy to feed of off mad people. Esspecially on the interwebs. And it's usually good times.

Trolls != people who disagree with you ♥

Although, it is very sweet, as it allows the rest of us to have a whole discussion without being called idiots or dumb or sheep.

PS: Thread is now about cats

Also....if this thread counts as trolling (apart from the OP of course), then I am worried for the future of trolls.

you again put your thoughts into my words at the end, we both know where this will lead us to right...

you should only talk for yourself instead of telling everybody what others did say tainted with your thoughts and words

I hardly believe you learn it with me as i won't look at it anymore, but you can try with the others still, good luck

hey everybody, just wanted to know if you fight the trolls and use the hide post button to ignore future comments from those specific characters, are you hardliners who stick to it or are you looking at the post as soon as you see that troll name popup at your threads?

I'm fighting the trolls already and stand against them ignoring their comments but still having a grin smile when i see those names pop up on my threads, are you fine not knowing what they might did tell you, or you fall in the habbit on pressing *show posts* maybe just to regret it right after that?

please share your feelings

I decided that after about six months or so that I was hankering for some maccas so I got a quarter pounder and a mcspicy. I don't think mcspicy is quite the word for the burger I received. I was very unimpressed. At least the drive through was clean, well lit and the lady on the mic and I talked for a bit.

I think your threads are like that mcspicy, full of promise by title but lack the "kick" you would expect from something named as such.
