I hate Sundays and the nickel and dimming, speed camarahs, consistent staus, recycling everything. The best thing? Going to the lidl and getting a six pack of beer for 1.50€

Don't forget the absurd power of the GEMA that led to about 90% of youtube music videos being blocked here, stealth censorship of movies and tv shows, horrible German television, 2-class health care, a school system that already determines your chances at getting a decent job at the age of 9, etc etc etc

Perspective I've gotten is that Australia is viewed as best in the UK.

A kind of Avalon in the Pacific.

Never been to the UK. HAVE been to Oz. Also, all around the Pacific Rim, the IO, and the Persian Gulf. Also some parts of Latin America. Australia is popular, sure enough (though the Kiwis seems to edge them out just a bit), but Canada seems to win the Ms. Congeniality contest hands-down.

Just recently I read Australia is the country with most happy people. Polls are just polls..
On the other hand I like this place, it seems warm and cozy
