I agree with Canl..... You must be a pilot to fly the Drake or Tengu.

Yea, why indeed would I use a BS which has more dps and tank for running the most boring pve content in any game.

No one was debating the boredome level of mission running. That was not the OP's question and to each his own. I was making a statement about brick tank boredome verses actually flying something and trying to make it "slightly" less boring. Again, personal preference.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I will keep my missile training and i am going to buy a raven for now. When i feel more confortable, maybe a CNR or probably a SNI will be my best chance.

Thanks again

Get T2 light drones trained up before you jump into your BS, they the only thing that is going to save you when things go wrong and you need to get rid of the scramming frigs. Also only use them when the tacklers are close or they will just die. At first throw on a DC till you get used to missioning in a BS.

I have to second the vote for sentry drones. Right now they do damage comparable to many battleship class guns, have ranges comparable to many using their heaviest hitting ammo, have superior tracking, and on the Odyssey dominix the range and tracking issues will be further magnified.

The raven isn't that bad of a ship to fly either, just don't ever try to make it cap-stable. On the flip side if you ever plan on cross-training to Gallente ships for a dominix you can either shield tank the dominix or armor tank your raven. The latter is, of course, rather sub-optimal, especially since part of that works with fitting painters which won't be as necessary come Odyssey.

Of course a good mix point between a raven and a dominix would be the typhoon. Train up the ship skills for one once you can handle the raven well and then work on the drone skills. Field 5 sentries, use cruise missiles, profit. When drone skills are done you can armor tank your typhoon or switch immediately to the dominix and shield tank it.

Lots of ways to branch out really.

LMJD, jump 100km every 3 minutes, npc scram not a problem.

But finishing the mission takes longer and is terribly frustrating having to jump around like a rabbit the whole time, but thats the beauty of eve.. we have the ability to do things that match our preferred play style

but it makes it stupid easy to complete missions with low skills (and/or to gtfo) which is what this thread is about.
