Not in a million years, not a sandbox anyways.

I agree HTFU but here is some tips for you.

If you have the cash put a mining ship in different ice/mining belt systems in different races systems, eg one in galent, caldari, mini, and amarr space.

Then add Mr Mittani's alliance to your contact list, you can do it from the forums even, and flag them as bad.

Then blow your local window up big so you can see a large chunk if not all the people in local.

If Mr Mittani enters the system in his big bad Brutix you will see him and hopefully doc up before he ganks you. Then move to a different system you have a mining barge at. Leave the system in your pod or shuttle very hard to lock and NEVER auto pilot.

Also keep your drones out and set them to protect or aggressive. (Get combat drone of any kind, does not matter the skill level just have in space) If they gank you then your drones should have enough time to do atleat do bit of damage to them before Concorde gets them. Then you can show your buddies you killed Mr Mittani with your mining ship because you will get a nice killmail. Alot of gankers are killmail whores and will not like that blemish on there killboard.

Remember one golden rule I say to all the new indy guys in our corp. Make them bored, that is your best weapon. Don’t talk to them dock up and go afk if they get bored they will leave and 99% of the pvpers have an attention span the size of a walnut. It will not be long till they are bored and an gone back to 0.0. You are a miner you have the power to outlast them hell you sit in front of the rock for hours. Use that patients as your weapon. BORE THEM TO DEATH and you will always win and get many tear in the prossess. Boo Hoo undock already LOL

I hate seeing people leave the game when the most important thing we can do for eve right now is attract and KEEP new players. I hope this little advice helps you. Remember this kind of drama you will not see in any other MMO and that is what makes eve special. It is worth playing but you need to play smart.

They can have a voice when they start fitting for tank, instead of max mining yield. While I certainly feel a Hulk buff is warranted, I also think they should be forbade in any system above .5. Sound like a good compromise?

Edit: Actually, that seems a little one sided. How about this? T2 strip miners cannot be activated, in systems above .5 sec status. Better?

well if goon feels that ganking other players is fun what would happen if because players stopped playing the game and losing money on the game then what would happen i mean it is the fact that i feel that the actions of the goons could cost ccp alot in the long run

OR YOU COULD MINE IN MINMATAR/AMARR SPACE

It's a location based interdiction guys. If you think that tanking your ship/Remoterepping/Watching local/paying attention to your overview is too hard for you, fear not, you can also MINE SOMEWHERE ELSE, somewhere that is free of evil goonswarm members.

If you just keep mining stubbornly in a Gallente region, without tanking your ship, without remote rep ships, without watching local and without checking your overview for strange ships, you just deserve to die, simple as that.

Now I'm gonna quote myself again, just to make sure every poor miner have a chance to read it :

Obvious answer to this whole thing, if you look through the forums you will find out that Goons are only offering bounties in Gallente high sec, and Caldari soon if im not mistaken?

If you dont want to lose your precious ORE ship then move.

Obvious answer .... Hisec Carebears should simply start cancelling their subs ... until CCP removes insurance payouts for gankships ... oh, wait, that's what they're already doing in droves ....

If CCP were smart they would simply allow people to "unflag themselves for PvP" in hisec, like all the other (growing rather than shrinking) MMO's, so we would stop losing valuable noob subs.

I realize this isn't attractive to those who somehow find pleasure in tormenting noobs .... but that's what losec and nullsec are for anyway.

TEST might be giving you a candidate who not only spent months doing highsec ice and ore mining, but nullsec mining and industry. A candidate who actually knows that mining and industry are not relegated to just one region. That all regions are garbage and need to be buffed. A candidate who thinks 20k ehp on a hulk is goddamn ********. But that's just a maybe.

I have an original idea for you...

Go play one of those "growing rather than shrinking" MMOs instead of this one. Oh, and post there instead of here.

Blizzard would love to take your money for every half-finished expansion they put out and they especially love people like you who will spend hundreds of hours pressing the same button to kill the same monster thousands of times like a chicken pecking a button to get feed.

So you really like the fact that EVE is starting to die? You want it to die? Rather than compromise in a tiny way that would hurt you not at all, but would probably attract new players who would fund your nullsec enhancements?

Un-flagging yourself for pvp is outright the most stupid idea there is, part of the reason why I love EvE Online is the fact that EVERYONE is one server and has to interact with each other one way or another. Separating yourself from the other players is just stupid as hell. This is by far the # 1 reason why poor little miner doesn't get a voice. Poor little miner can't use their head to make a voice. If all the high sec miners got together (HAHAHAHAHAHA miner coalition) and worked towards a common goal, they would be able to achieve a seat on the CSM and help get their voice heard, but they're too preoccupied with their Hulks and rocks to think long term.
Please don't be stupid.

Well, your answer is pretty clear then --> typical Old Bitters (old or not, completely self interested), who might just take EVE down with them.

Angry, I actually don't care about the CSM --> I don' t think it matters nor should CCP give it overt weight ... kinda the equivalent of letting the schoolyard bully set all the rules if they did listen ...

You're right this is a dumb argument though ... simple answer is to simply stop insurance payouts for concord kills, and let things continue as they always have.

aside from playing internet spaceships. especially ones with combat mods. It's gotta clue in at some point that eve is a fighting game.
they aint gonna stop doing it so why continue your mindless whineing about it. only thing your doing with complaining is giveing them things to lol about and it fuels it for more tears.

Or better yet. Be smart about it. goons have alot of Highsec alts. that run in and out of jita all the time in freighters JF,blockade runners etc. go camp there with a ship scanner and scan every single industrial ship that comes out etc. then thats how you get revenge :)

This is in response to everyone who has complained about how easy it is to gank industrials:

A supertanker costs in excess of $100,000,000. It can be destroyed at sea by any ship capable of mounting either a surface torpedo launcher (smaller than you think) or a gun sufficiently large enough to puncture the tanker's hull. Such a boat could probably be had for less than 1% the value of that utterly undefended supertanker.

Why? Because supertankers are designed to do one thing, and do it exceedingly well: they haul oil without spilling it (usually). They are good for absolutely nothing else. You could put additional armor on them...at the expense of cargo capacity, fuel efficiency, and speed. The designers chose to take the risk. Same goes for the Hulk.
