NVIDIA driver errors

Hi,

I just noticed that new NVIDIA driver (320.14 and 320.18) breaks EVE. When you login and even in game, all that should be black (background) is blue(ish) radient, and some red artifacts sometimes show up.

This issue can't be seen on older driver 314.22 and lower.

I didn't know where should I report this, and who broke what (I guess NVIDIA folks), but someone should fix it :)

Enjoy!

That particular issue has been known for a while now, reducing your shader settings to medium or lower also fixes the issue.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

Also, the nVidia folks are aware of the issue and in the process of fixing it.

At least my boot.ini is safe from them.

When I updated my drivers last week, the 3D settings (as in using 3D glasses) were turned on by default. So check if those weren't also turned on for you . Turning them off fixed it for me.

A quick search would have revealed that this was common knowledge on the forums.

Thanks for posting this, I did a search and didn't find anything, even with google. Often searching for "eve online blue screen" obviously brings up people having a problem with the "blue screen of death" when it comes to windows in general.

If this problem is common knowledge, then it should be stickied so that people can see it.

I have also found that you have to reduce the shader level to medium , which is an annoying shame.

To anyone not sure what it looks like , here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/1tGVpC7.jpg
