so yeah, got my hands on the special edition BD.

Can't say anthing by my own words, so I'll quote something I heard before:

Badass badassery of badassitude.

can't say anthing else.

Welp, that's been the story for me for all of Quentin's films.

I enjoyed it. It's not a classic, as such - I wouldn't put it up against A Fistfull of Dollars - but it was fun and well shot and amusing, and it had something to say.

Quentin's real find has been Christoph Waltz. 2 for 2 so far for winning Oscars.

I still think Serenity trumps pretty much everything modern westerns have.

thing is, I consider Django to be less of a western movie and more of a Tarantino movie.

Exactly. And besides, it's not really a spaghetti western.

Those take place in the western US, not the slave-based Old Deep South.

Quentin just uses spaghetti western tropes as a device.

it's "Basterds" btw.
well, he got one for screenplay... afaik? and Cristoph Waltz got one for supporting character, same for his play on Inglorious Basterds, and I do have to say, the man fits these kinds of characters like a glove.

When it comes to Leo actually winning an Oscar, The Academy suddenly remembers "The Island". Lol
