Intergalactic Summit

Hello immortal pilots of New Eden. Thirst and hunger are subjects which weigh heavily in the minds of many within this community. The possibility of spending prolonged periods of time within the capsule drastically changes how we view cuisine and fine dining. We are the elites of the cluster, and yet for every one of us there are millions of baseliners who are much less fortunate and are incredibly prone to malnutrition and poor diet. Friends and prospective partners are forever lost over a single dining mishap, and feuds erupt as entire communities take in the sights of empty plates and the starved, anorexic bodies of those held dear. The score in this twisted game is kept for future generations to pay in empty stomachs. Even those most fortunate must often resort to grabbing a cheap ‘quick fix’ in order to stave hunger greater in magnitude. Unbecoming, droll and low-key as this may be, it is an unfortunate reality of the cluster we live in.

Quinzel Nikulainen has always embraced a position that cares for the people of the cluster. She is thoroughly disgusted with the stance on poverty in the Empires, as well as the Capsuleers; they have all failed to appreciate the value of a good meal, and just how far this can go. In their own unique way, the Big Four are bereft of cultural diversity, as can be plainly seen by recent events during which I entered a Station in Heimatar and could not order anything without ‘eleven secret Vherokior herbs and spices’. Nonsensical catering industry stagnation and cultural misunderstandings between old allies and trading partners have persisted due to the lack of an unequivocal voice to address these issues. As a concerned and proactive citizen of the State, Quinzel Nikulainen seeks to be this voice and address the ubiquitous poverty among the known space-powers that be. The most practical way to this is to intervene directly and prevent further hunger within the groups residing in the known cluster. The mortals among us deserve nothing less than full culinary satisfaction as we move towards a brighter future, and the Empyrean Wars represent nothing short of a slap in the face to any patriotic, group-serving individuals who do not have the luxury of accumulating millions of ‘Loyalty Points’ which could be cashed in to fill soup kitchens across the cluster. With this in mind, Quinzel Nikulainen beckons the four militias to consider how they can help the destitute in their cultures. I propose a food drive, which I will oversee, and where all proceeds will be transferred from myself to a SOE representative, who has exhibited particularly unbiased behavior in addressing and stemming hunger in the Empires. I do this as a demonstration of my own love for food and the compassion of my fellow man, and sincerely hope that this show of humanitarianism will dissuade privateers from spending that last ISK on an exotic dancer.
