Downside to the Gila: its price point is higher than what you'd pay for a Tier-3 battleship, and its CPU is insanely tight.

Upside: its hull bonuses can be maxed much more easily than a battleship's, and if it costs as much as a pimped battleship, it'll deliver firepower to match. You can sig-tank and speed-tank and still mount a passive shield tank that will match a Drake's and enough outgoing DPS to fricasee battleships.

(It is entirely possible to set up a Gila with rat-specific hardeners to tank 500 DPS and throw 800 at Garde range. Or reduce tank, increase range, and throw 850.)

I use this fit. I made it for Gallente and Caldari space. It works even against any other pirate faction but you may have to drop a Drone Damage amp for an extra hardener.

Works quite well for me. 1010 DPS ( all V and Garde II). I usally put 2 sets of sentrys (depents on enemy) 1 set medium and 1 set small drones in it. There will be space for extra drones.
Nomaly i dont use the capacitor booster since 3m 23s Cap should be enough for any lvl 4.
For some missions I drop a gun for a 2nd Drone Link Augmentor II and i also change the 100mn to SEBO II if needed.

This fit even works well even if you use Meta 4 guns and for example Gallente battleship only on lvl 4 (still 900 DPS).
