^ What Mole said. PvP is more than ganking and the sooner you learn that, the better. But you won't learn which fights to pick and which ones to run from if you sit in a safe corner of space. You haven't played EVE until you've risked everything - and came out alive and kicking.

If you have only done lvl 4 missions up untill now you havent even begun to play EVE (believe me, I've been there). Like ppl above me said, go pvp, and not just mindlessly throwing frigs at it, but learn from each and every single fight.
