Cheers m8s,

since we all love the new launcher here's what I figured out today, not sure if anybody else found it already, there quite a lot of topics to go through, if this is a double post disregard/delete.

After another update to the launcher it did't work again, so I was trying a few things, like:

- running repair.exe
- deleting folder launcher, then running repair.exe
- whatnot

Then I gave launcher\launcher_console.exe a shot, and although it just opened a terminal and closed itself again really fast, I could get the words "not found", so I opened a terminal myself (Windows + R) and ran the file so I could read the output, and here's what I caught, and I must say: "Epic fail on this one, CCP":

D:\Games\EVE Online\launcher>Der Befehl "D:\Games\EVE" ist entweder falsch geschrieben oder konnte nicht gefunden werden.

Last line is german (surprise) and means something like: "Either your keyboard is broken or you can't properly type commands."

Original folder on setup would be "X:\Whatever\CCP\EVE", now I changed that to "D:\Games\EVE Online".
Note the space in the folder name? This should be encapsed in apostrophes, but apparently it isn't, so in fact launcher_console.exe, trying to do whatever simply launches "D:\Games\EVE" -> fail.

So if you have EVE in a folder containing spaces, remove them (if possible) or move to a folder without spaces.
Not sure if this was just coincidence, but doing so made my launcher run an update and now it works.

Good luck and fail safe :)
