Nullsec mining was explicitly stated as their target.

Best thing ever done to promote mining and make it worth training for.

Rats loot on the other hand was already negligible amounts and the nerf stick that hit mission loot is simply too much imho.
Missions like Gone Bersek that could easily provide 4.5K M3 of loot now provide not even 1K, ok 4.5K was probably a bit too much but now it's plain ridiculous on top of mission rats/payouts lowered significantly.

But welp if it's for the greater good of god plex then, what else to say?

Because mining with guns obsoleted mining with mining lasers, especially for null minerals.
