Using Hot Keys for Warp/Dock

Rather simple yet silly question as I not tried but also not seen it mentioned.

This is NOT using macro's.
Rather simple question though:

I have a Steel Series Shift Keyboard, much like most modern gaming keyboards it has Hotkeys. Can I using the hotkeys in Eve as well, program a keyboard hot key to warp to/dock with a station.

Say I am mining, and want to return quickly, or move to the next spot. Instead of right clicking and using the context menu can I hit a hotkey to do this action instead? Example Key1 will be dock with station, Key2 is mining spot 1, Key3 is mining spot 2 etc etc.

Was just a thought and something I will try when I next log in anyway, if not I will just go back to the context menu and click click.

You wont get a straight answer here unless a gm pops in to the thread. Youre better off asking in a petition.

You mean like holding D, then clicking the gate or station?

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Are you sat there pushing the buttons or is it a bot?

If its a bot, power down, assume the position. Someone will collect your corpse eventually.

Otherwise, where is the massively unfair income advantage?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

It would be me, I am not stupid enough to ask how to make a Bot work.

I was simply thinking of ways to streamline my mining, at the moment I have 4 clients running and warp the squad and such all manually, I was trying to think of a way I can just either use the fleet commander have a warp squad hotkey or move between the clients with a hotkey to move them around or dock them quickly.

There is no gain that breaks the EULA as all I am doing is utilising the tools already available in the game, if they exist, if they don't I will just continue what I am doing.

Pretty good question, I was actually looking for something like that too. Not because I'm a heavy miner or something, I'm just lazy. But anyways I think that it is important that you try to make it very clear that you are not looking for something that breaks the rules/laws of the game. Which you did pretty well. =)

Have a like for being constructive and not condescending or arrogant.

As I say I will have a look this week, If I get anywhere I will let you know.

You skipped my previous answer, but holding down D, then clicking a station or gate will dock/jump you.

There are no hotkeys to warp to a bookmark that I know of, so you're out of luck with that as well.

Hmmm, the next question I guess that could progress this is:
Can you assign objects in your overview with hotkeys from the eve settings? Sounds strange but worth a ask.
If you can I could simple assign say Station8 as a pinned object with a hotkey and then have my keyboard hotkey simple execute D+hotkey

Nope. That's why some people have been trying to get CCP to add bookmarks to the overview.
I don't know if the radial menu change on the test server works with the People & Places window, but you could check that out to see. If it doesn't, you could see if they have time to add it.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

I'm always holding on to my D in such situations.
