Warning: Wall of Text Incoming

While scanning the static (which was home to some new and tiny role playing corp - In. Theory) we saw extra sets of probes. We set up fast tackle to catch him and waited. Eventually we got an activation. He came in but didn't try to jump back out immediately as we expected, he instead cloaked in our system. We got a decloak on him with our interceptor and proceeded to wake him up in a station. Only after linking the kill mail in fleet, did we realize it wasn't the residence of our static C5, it was Exhale. Excitement spread on TS and we quickly pinned down their incoming k162. They had an Astarte baiting on their static, but because we didn't have eyes in their home system we didn't jump on it.

We moved a scout in and formed up in Armor T3s. We were fairly short on pilots, only about 10 real life people, but we were going to do our best. I jumped my scout in and saw a handful of T3s and 2 guardians. However, they had an additional 6 T3s on dscan that were not on the wormhole, as well as 2 Moros and an Archon. We were about to move the fleet up when Exhale pulled to 50 km off their static in their home system. Shortly after they were joined by a few more T3s and a Megathron. Not wanting to fight off a wormhole in their home system when they had superior numbers, we switched into Nano Tier 3 BCs and proceeded to move up. We bubbled up a hictor as soon as we jumped into their home system and proceeded to burn towards their fleet, who all warped off. Except for the Megathron. He was too slow and our Lachesis got a point on him. We burned him down and reapproched the hole.

We waited about 5 minutes before they came back. This time with 3 Guardians and more T3s. We jumped through as they landed at the edge of the Hictor bubble and aligned to Loveshack, holding about 50km off the hole. They jumped through and we began applying DPS to a Legion, he was about quarter armor before the Guardians got reps on him. We then began applying damps and DPS to the guardians, nearly breaking them. They then jumped in an Arazu and Kitsune. The Kitsune didn't last long, but the Arazu damped out our Lachesis and got point on one of our Talos. Down one Talos, we warped the fleet back to Loveshack because we had no shield Logi and shipped up into T3s and an Archon.

Then we played the waiting game. they had an Archon, 3 Guardians, Vindicator, and about a dozen T3s. We had an Archon, Damnation, Devoter, and 6 T3s. It looked like they might roll their own hole, so in an attempt not to be trapped, I jumped through the hole and got my Anthama blown up again (surprise surprise) but got the pod back to Loveshack to grab another one. As I warped back, I saw an uncloaked Proteus sitting on the opposite side of the wormhole from our fleet. I ordered all subcaps to jump and engage, while leaving one Proteus and the Archon back on the other side of the wormhole. We forced the Proteus to jump twice and then waited for their fleet to land, which it did. Their Archon triaged and saved their Proteus and we jumped our fleet back, sitting on the hole at 0.

While that was happening, 2 US players, who happened to log into EVE while at work and an EU player readied their pods to board dreads. Exhale. then jumped their entire fleet into our home system with their Archon. Worried they would just back out, I wanted to get their carrier Triaged before we brought the dreads, but I was surprised by what I saw with my scout. A Naglfar in our static with an Exhale tag. That meant both ships weren't getting back to their home system, so they either had to commit everything, or blue ball us hard and find a way to K-space for their now trapped capital ships.

While we waited for the Nag to jump in, which would close the hole, we were smashing away at their Guardians in our system. Because their Archon wasn't in triage they weren't able to get carrier reps so our small band of T3s were forcing their ships to jump back through, polarizing themselves. Finally their Naglfar jumped in, but there were several Exhale T3s still on the other side. What happened to Exhale ships on the other side is something I like to think of as "Bob's Justice." You guys may recall a certain fight (LOST vs. Boris Johnson) in which a stalemate was broken by the addition of a third party -- Exhale. We ended up loosing that one, but today justice was done. The seemingly small role playing corp had put together a shield fleet and they began engaging Exhale in our static. Once the Naglfar jumped into our system, splitting their fleet, the ones left on the neutral side of the wormhole (which were already low armor because of our work from our side of the wormhole) were engaged by the shield fleet from In. Theory and destroyed.

Meanwhile the fight continued on in our home system. The dreads were called in and took down the Exhale Archon straight away. We then immediately switched to the Naglfar, as one of my dread pilots shouted "I'm going down if we don't kill that Nag right now!" Naglfars used to be laughed at for how ineffective they were in PvP. Yet, after a nice buff, the Exhale Nag lasted long enough against our 2 Moros and Naglfar to get one of our dreads into structure. A few more volleys and we would have been down a Moros. 3 v 1 and he still almost took one of us down. Naglfar=OP.

We then went about finishing off the rest of their fleet, minus a few ships that managed to slip away. GFs were said in local and we allowed the remaining Exhale ships and pods a safe route out our system.

Huge shoutout to Exhale for bringing the fight and committing to fight in our home system. 10/10 would fight again. Shoutout also to The Ratface, our Archon pilot, for getting his cherry popped as a triage carrier in combat. Last but not least, a Rifter sacrifice to Bob for the mysterious ways in which he works. Smile

Note: Any corrections from Exhale's point of view are more than welcome.

BR: http://tlost.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=17889925

Eve-Kill is currently messed up, but hopefully that link will work.

Edit: If you have right-click on the battle report and open it in a new tab, it will work.

The way eve kill parses out the url is flawed:

tlost.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=17889925

take out the bolded "amp;" part and it works.

Don't worry, it seems someone went and spilled some red on TL's killboard too.

Would be interesting to know what happened there (but in different thread).

thanks for a actual BR. !!!

Was wondering when someone would write a worthwhile BR on EvE O Wormhole forums.

Great to see the wormhole chivalry shine through in it also, another rare **** on this forum..
