What's wrong with PVE content exactly?

There is plenty of things to do with groups. Single player PVE has been outright neglected because some people can't stand the fact that some other people like to play in the sandbox by themselves. Not everything has to be centered around group play you know.

Nothing wrong with PVE content completely, in and of itself, but it doesn't really fit in the Cycle of Eve http://jestertrek.com/eve/blog/2012/balance-yes.png

Harvest -> Build -> Mission -> Buy New Ships -> Collect 1 of each ship ... That isn't what Eve is. Solo missioning breaks the cycle of Harvest > Build > Destroy > Harvest

As long as there's no new Isk Faucets and maybe if they remove some current ones associated with Solo Missioning then i might be a little bit less opposed to it.

If you screw up there is chance that you will lose your ship in the mission, although this is rarely the case with more experienced players even then it's possbile. You can be suicided for your fiting, or just for lulz in mining too. Then there are the awoxers...

So while it's not quite visible as in other areas that "destroy" cycle is still present on missions and mining. Suggesting that missions are pvp focused is like telling all the miners that they are suspect tagged on every asteroid belt.

We need to remember that missions are main income to many of us who don't feel like drilling rocks for hours and hours and would then like to pvp a little. Not all pilots are equal in skill and with pvp in front of you even on missions&mining you would soon end up without isk or ships.

Yeah, and please make the distribution missions more interesting. Like having more fights in them instead of just delivering stuff....it gets boring after a while.

If you want combat missions, why don't you pick combat missions? I'm quite happy with distribution missions being simply couriering boxes around the place. My industrial pilot alts can't fly combat ships, so why would I want to shoot stuff when delivering cargo from one place to another?

It's interesting to note that of the harvest -> build -> destroy -> harvest cycle, missions and mining pretty much fall into the "harvest" category, with occasional destruction when someone bites off more than they can chew. So missions do fit into the cycle.

One thing I was longing for since I started playing EVE was PvE which mimicked PvP to some degree, so that PvE players would be (intentionally or otherwise) flying fits that would classify as not-completely-******** PvP fits, and would be learning skills that would encourage them to be not completely useless in PvP. We eventually got something like that with Incursions, though we are facing NPCs that deal omni-damage and tank omni-damage, drop no loot, and are extremely predictable in fleet composition and tactics.

What I would like to see with missions is a revamp of the NPC AI to "Level One" standards, giving the NPC ships something more like player fittings, reducing their numbers, adding logistics and command ships into their fleets, and requiring tackle on some ships in order to prevent them escaping when the fertiliser hits the air circulation device. Dread Pirate Scarlet gets some of this right, Incursions get some of this right. It would be nice to see the Sanshas incursion rats switch to EM/Thermal with tanks that have some kind of hole (what hole? you'll have to find out based on what they're flying this time around).

So rather than opening up "Mordus Headhunters" in the Kill Mission Survival Guide, then knowing that I have to shoot group 1 then group 3 then group 2, I'd prefer to have fewer enemies that are a little smarter about applying ECM, tackle, range tanking, etc. Perhaps I would be encouraged to bring friends by having NPCs flee unless they are tackled, so if I want to loot and salvage i have to do something about keeping the NPCs pinned down. What if the Mordus Mammoth had a logistics team? I couldn't just sit there for five minutes slowly whittling it down unless I had some help, and perhaps some ECM.

And as Carthas Onasi says in #9, I'd like to see more variety in combat missions: some designed specifically with interceptors or logistics in mind, for example.

In that case i want storyline mission to be of the same type that missions you completed before it. Why do i have to find some Kernite or move some crates if i did 16 combat missions?

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

CCP said some time back that this was due to the pool of storylines being so small. I wonder if they're working on more storyline missions?

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I think you'll find the developers more welcoming of your feedback if you try to express yourself a little more politely.

I do not think that CCP should really invest more into PVE missions. I rather think that it would be more useful if CCP would think how they can combine missiones with PVP. Faction warefare missions are a good start, but it is so easy to simply avoid any PVP while on the other side it is also soo easy to completly lock up the mission with a blob. Therefore CCP should invent a solution to this to create fair fights. For example, if I want to take a FW-mission then I should commit to a ship. Depending on the power of my ship take a contra-mission for the other side should spawn which asks someone to be my opponent for this mission. However, the mechanics should be that the enemy should not be able to simply out blob or out gun me.

I disagree. If I wanted to PvP, I would go PvP. When I want to mission, I specifically am looking for a non-PvP activity. CCP hasn't done much with the mission system lately, and it could use some work.

I don't care about new missions, just take the ones we have and make them interactive with some possible variation in the story every time you come across the mission again.

Missions is one place you can really exploit EVE's lore which isn't being done at all right now...
