The word, "mad", it doesn't mean what you think it does.

You do realize that a player was recently banned for stalking the Mittani in and out of game, right?

This phrase right here, with the recent events that have happened as of late, probably not the brightest of remarks.

I understand your frustration and the like at the CSM in general, and the Mittani and Goons specifically, but again, you are a bigger person than this. And degrading your debate down to this level leaves you no room to be take seriously any longer.

The Mittani isn't your enemy. CCP's bad business decisions are. CCP is back tracking to insure your gaming experience is going to get better, so, relax, sit back and give it time. CCP is coming around.

Lol, believe me, I try to stay as far away from the Mittanis of this world as humanly possible, so no worries thereRoll

No, he isn't my enemy--I just find his attempts to steal the credit for CCP's coming around utterly repellent and despicable. Along with, from what I've seen of him and his ilk, his general douche-bag nature.

I really hate to have to break it to dear Leader, but it was what the WoD/WiS debacle did to CCP's bottom line that drove this turn-around, nothing more, nothing less.

I play games to get away from RL BS, and dealing with twits like him all day/every day is something I must do IRL, why the Hell would I pay for that...umm...privilege...in something that's supposed to be done for fun?

It's why I will never even consider going back to nullsec, except as part of a BLOPs strike or lolfrigate-roam, unless/until massive changes in the way nullsec works are made, and the opportunity for a small corp to give these pompous, up-themselves pixel-plutocrats a good, long-remembered (in-game only, OK??!) kicking presents itself.

Good to see you have absolute information on exactly what it is that went through Hilmar's mind when he made the decision to focus on FiS, and that you aren't doing what everyone else is doing, namely assuming and guessing on the exact reasons.

Oh, so the shitstorm of unsubs in the last few months just happened in a vacuum, then.

I'm going by what Hilmar Peterssun (sp?) said in the Eurogamer interview, seems pretty unambiguous that he admits CCP bit off way more than they could chew.

Not to worry, though, once I train Telepathy to 5, then I'll change my view as those facts warrantRoll

Who's sock-puppet are you, again?

ccp is not like real world governments, they are not in any crazy deficit to my knowledge. So its not like they really need to go in extreme barebones panic mode.

They keep charging the same, and have a bunch of subs so who cares? Try better next expansion.

There are multiple datapoints I can think of offhand that Hilmar etc may have taken into account.

1) CCP has a history of reacting when there's a lot of bad press. That has happened, and a lot of that has been initiated or reinforced by the CSM.
2) CCP also has or had a $12m loan due about now. Cutting costs to be able to refinance that loan may very well be a huge factor in the decision to cut staff and refocus on EVE.
3) Unsubscriptions

If you want to assume that unsubscriptions are the only reason, by all means go ahead. I'm fairly certain the reality is more complex than that, and I'm also fairly certain it's more complex than what I've outlined as well.

It's "whose".

As to sock puppet, sure, keep thinking I'm someone's sock puppet. Have fun with that.

Nope. Absolutely none. We're all fat virgin sperging neckbeards living in our parents's basement, and we like to do nothing but scam, cheat and lie. And I'm all this simply because I'm a goon. I used to be a decent human being before I joined goonswarm, but the instant I were in goonswarm, I lost all humanity and gained literally 100kg and a penchant for stuffing my face with nothing but burgers and beer.

Or I could just be a normal person who happens to like the humour and people in goonswarm. Far-fetched, I know, but just throwing it out there as a very remote possibility. You never know.

So what you're saying is that you can't find one concrete example of how the CSM has cost any jobs or even done anything to harm the game.

Come on, Harlot, you're trying to teach the pubbies logic here. That's not fair.
