Interesting change, though my most expensive clones are still about 1/3 the cost of my most expensive ship. Bear Yes I'm a cheap bugger, normally run on +3s actually so they probably cost even less.

Y'all realize of course that just about any fleet booster will become primary now, due to the appropriate Warfare MindLink implant. And folks with full pirate implant sets too... Pirate

No, no and no!!
I cannot believe you did that.
Now you encourage anyone to pod anybody that comes your way. That shouldn't be. Instead of getting a cadaver-party you should take the killmail of the game.
It is bad enough to loose an expensive ship you had to work for a long time, only to get blow up by some scared psychopaths in the first place.
Killmails only belong to the pvp tournaments!

Nice feature. Now how about a brain scan module that shows me a pilot's current implants BEFORE I kill him?

This is a good idea, will make a note of it

I remember killing a few blingy ships, putting the fits into EFT and thinking "...my god, that pod probably cost almost as much as the ship."

Soon I'll know for sure!

Get out you freakin' griefer! I don't know how you can live with yourself with an attitude like that....

it's simply obvious and something must be done! an ability to salvage body of poded pilot and make attempt to extract some of intact implants from his head.

like salvaging a wreck, via special module - "skull trephination" action.

a grave digging and body thieving will have a new taste in cold and dark universe of eve.

One step at a time, but yes, this would be a logical developement...

Glad to see the KM system is getting some overhaul! Say, this may have been covered earlier in this thread, but don't suppose as long as the system is being looked at anyhow, how difficult would it be to generate proper mails for ships that finish a self-destruct cycle while they are being shot at?

"Ha, there's no record of you killing me because I killed myself faster!" is a pretty silly outcome, and we've seen devs proposing taking action against other silliness like logging out while being shot to escape, so I figured I'd ask

Dear CCP!

You'ar about to make some changes in killmail sysytem anyway, so can u please add killmail id in the text of mail? same number as we have in API system. like row killID="19825588" in xmls. and add it to mail like

2011.10.20 08:23

MessageID: 19825588
Victim: Text example
Corp: Deep Core Mining Inc.
Alliance: None
Faction: None
Destroyed: some ship
System: somewere
Security: 0.0
Damage Taken: 1068337

it will alow us to find duplicates much easy then now, KBs rigth now check if it alrady have mail by comparing name, time and ship type. so for example if i drop 10 shuttles from my carrier and then u smartbomb them, u will have 10 exacly same mails. KB will reject all exept 1, ID field will solve that issue.

thnks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure if the ID field is readily available via the client, but I'll look into it

See, now this is the way it is supposed to work.

1) CCP takes idea from playerbase and formulates a way to implement it if it makes sense
2) CCP posts it to forums to vet it out with the players
3) players make constructive suggestions
4) CCP responds and shows that the suggestion has brought value to the creative process
5) group hug as it is finished and brought to tranquility.

I have to admit I am feeling spoiled this last week or so with a sudden return to information flow from CCP. I was a bitter vet growing tired of playing after 8 years :(

I am still a bitter old vet but now I feel like I have insite as to where the game is going and faith in it returning to glory \o/

Please keep it up... we all love EVE and we all want to make her better!

Well this will certainly result in a cash injection for CCP, as with everyone gunning for pods now a side effect will be the increase in plex sales as pods become real targets and not just of opportunity. Guess this is a Win Win case for CCP.

and here i was Hoping they where removing ever thing from KMs beside having it say you kill X on X day

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

Seconding the whole "selfdestruct while agro'd leaves a killmail" thing. Also, logistics on killmails. Also, killmails being transmitted to everybody involved, not just the final blow.

I remember seeing a statement that getting Kill mails on implants lost was not practical.

What has changed? The New Programing of the code made this possible or did you guys simply take the a lot of time and hard work or making a work around to gain this information.?

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships

Reposting a rant I made elsewhere regarding killmails
Quote:
KM whoring ruins this game. Logi are crippled by it(the need to km ***** to prove you were in a fight save people!) and it leads people into ******** concepts like the idea that a self destructed ship somehow isn't a loss for your enemy.

By being a KM *****, you are losing fights that you would have won if you had stood back and said 'Yeah, they are DEAD!' because they are getting your tears over them losing a expensive ship.

While the isk war is important, its led people into forgetting that the winner of a fight is he who achieve his objectives, even if he lost 3 times the isk worth of ships. You get tiny alliances claiming they won because the alliance could only field a fleet with less than a single of the aggressors ships, but managed to get 1 lucky kill.

No, no killmails for self destructing. Please, no more killmails at all.

Bring sanity back to how the victor of a fight is decided, and quit penalizing the force multipliers who don't actually shoot anyone while they make the difference between victory and loss.

Inappropriate signature removed, CCP Phantom.
