So I assume I'm not the only one with the new launcher not connecting me onto EVE

After this new update, I can't connect onto EVE!

I open my client up and this shows http://imgur.com/5C5YiDk,5FoZyBV

So I go to start EVE, then it says incompatible protocol. http://imgur.com/5C5YiDk,5FoZyBV#1

I've used the LauncherUpdater in my files but it won't open up for some reason, I believe the program is not comparable with this new update.

I assume I'm not the only receiving this issue, if I find a work around ill tell you here. but please can anyone put suggestions on here ASAP since I want to get back on EVE?

Add in: I downloaded the update when I was on the client login screen and it still doesn't connect.

Yeap, having this problem, too. I get the 'Cannot connect to server' error when opening the Launcher. If I try to start EVE otherwise and connect, it says 'incompatible protocol'. What to do....

Even people on windows are receiving this issue. This isn't a macintosh issue this is the New Launcher Issue. Since im on mac anyway I decided CCP needs to see attention here that we are all recieving it.

Yeah it looks like a lot of people are having this problem. I was able to get on about an hour ago, download the patch and it worked. But now it's not. CCP needs to patch it up quickly.

After a couple tries the launcher connected. Sounds like there is a network issue somewhere, so just keep trying.

I have restarted my client multiple times and I still receive incompatible protocol. I have even shut down my computer and turned it back on, still nothing.

It has failed completely on my 'big' mac, completely on my windows laptop .. but oddly works fine on my mac mini

although I am less amused that I originally thought it a launcher issue .. followed the wiki that i should delete commom.ini .. and now i get a corrupt data message telling me to run the repair tool .. which doesnt work either

Got the launcher to connect and start patch after multiple tries. Maybe it just need a knock on the head! Big smile

At the risk of sounding ungrateful for your effort, and this update, I am a little concerned.

From what I gather, this has been an issue which made itself known shortly after downtime, and yet searching the forums, news and DevBlogs, this is the only contact we've had from CCP.

I was about ready to unnecessarily remove my install, re-download and re-install - no doubt only to discover the same issue. I am sure I'm not the only one.

People would be saved a lot of hassle if you could at least post an announcement in the Issues forum, or on the Eve Online home page.

That said, do we have any estimate on a time for resolution?

Came back from work, lunch eve : same issue than above.


What is the recovery protocol ?

Come on CCP - this isn't how you deploy software.

Windows users are able to workaround and log on, while us money paying Mac users are stuck (repair tool doesn't work anymore)

Can we get an update please?
