I just logged in after having the same issues.

First - Run the repair tool

Second - Navigate to and run the following EXE - CCP\EVE\Bin\ExeFile

I was having the 'offline' issue also. Quick workaround to get in game:

1. Run repair tool in C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE
2. After it finishes run direct from the bin directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe

Worked for me.

Keep getting error messages after logging in on the launcher e.g.

RemoteBuildNumberUnavailable: Unable to fetch build number from server
... (then about 500 words of other text)

But it just gives the option to launch EVE though anyway. To be honest I preferred the old launcher because rather than being able to launch 2 clients at once and THEN log in, you have to "switch character" and then launch it, which is rather annoying.

I had the same message as above and then I started eve with the option the 'launch EVE' and then it crashed 3 times while putting me into a station. Now it was stuck on the OFFLINE screen no matter how many times I restart it, so I manually downloaded the launcher ran the program and it keep coming up with the option to 'ignore' etc cetain files so I downloaded it again and then it looked like it installed but when I went to run it it went back to the OFFLINE screen.
I hope this amount of details helps yal fix it, thx
p.s The repair.exe thing keeps coming up with an error, I've got the prefect idea to fix it, get rid of the new launcher "Good thinking 99"

Launcher now states;

No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher.

The connection issues are being investigated. This is a simple (but extremely annoying) case of our webservers not responding.

If your settings are gone then please restart the client/launcher. This apparently was an issue that could happen with the old launcher update mechanism that we replaced with a better version.

"BETTER" is a quality that you seem to misunderstand, the launcher has been slightly buggy but functioning as required almost since you released it. Removing said bugs for a SSO and other improvements, which then breaks the launcher, means this code is "WORSE".

I *just* got back into this game too :-/

What exactly was so bad about the game the way it was last night that changes had to be hurried in that clearly weren't ready?

It's great work that you can bypass the launcher by running ExeFile.exe but what good does it do when you can't update the effing client because the launcher doesn't work?!

Incompatible (Protocol) is the only result of bypassing the launcher.

Fix!

Secondly for those getting the offline mode webpage from within the EVE Launcher, this is because the EVE Launcher is timing out when attempting to connect to our webservers. We're currently looking into why the webservers aren't responding in a timely fashion, and hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.

You mean that the launcher won't start the client unless it can pull down ads from your webservers?

Let's get our priorities straightened out here....

This. The launcher is about nothing more than advertising. It's a joke, and it's completely broken right now. All because they want to force users to read advertisements.

Dear CCP,

I believe your launcher is a decent piece of work, However it seems that you did not thoroughly look at user feedback or tested it before hand as there seems to be slow responses from the servers that the new Launcher depends on. The design may look good but it is not functional, Good looks are shallow if there isn't the heart to back it up.

Now this situation is reminiscent of the Captain's Quarters from the Incarna expansion where you passed on to us, the players, an update that did nothing to expand or help the player experience. This is not what we wanted, nor what we needed. It seems again, that there has been a mistake made and the price will the same as always.

I urge you now graciously to accept your mistake and offer up an apology.

Sincerely,

A Paying Customer.

As for anyone wanting to login without the launcher.
Navigate to your EVE install and go in to the '/bin' folder and run exeFile.exe to run the client directly.

EDIT: If you have an incompatiable protocol come up, use the repair.exe

1: yes, but it takes about 2 mins or so to load
2: yes very fast.

Launcher shows me a white screen. Cant do anything from there.

The Issue for Macintosh players even!!!! (Forum linky)

I'm on Macintosh however I decided this was the thread for where we complain about issues for everyone about this new launcher.

I'm on a Mac and it won't connect onto the server, it also appears this is a launcher issue for everyone. Not just the Window runners.

FIX this ASAP CCP!!!!

The exefile works fine for everyone who has updated his eve client prior to the launcher roll out.
