New player ? How do you "drop-off" an item? re Business intro mission 1 of 10

I have a question. I have Cargo in the hold for delivery to a station, Data Sheets. How do I leave them at the station before I leave to go back to the Agent that sent them.

I have the same problem with Cargo in the hold for delivery to an agent at the station, Veldspar, for the first Mining tutorial. I Know selling it has not worked.

Make sure that the item is in the item hanger (not ship cargo), that you're at the correct station (the one that the agent is at). Then talk with the agent and complete mission.

The common reason for the first mining mission not completing is when the people mine in the wrong place. The agent doesn't just want Veldspar, they want Veldspar mined from a specific location that they gave.

If you want to leave something behind then open up the Inventory panel and drag the item from the ship's cargo hold into the Item Hanger section.

Not sure if relevant but I've completed many "deliver this" missions with the required cargo in my ship hold.

You just have to talk to the agent that gave you the mission when you're in the right place.

Well going to the correct asteroid solved that problem. I was able to complete the mining mission from the agent screen.

I may have permanently ended the Balancing the books mission when in my many attempts to leave the "data sheets" at the destination station I trashed them.

Petition CCP (F12 > Submit new petition) and explain what happened. CCP usually is very relaxed with resetting the tutorials so you can continue them.

To drop off an item to complete a mission just "start conversation" with the agent, then click on the "complete mission" button. It used to be that the item had to be in the station hangar and not in your ship's cargo - but CCP finally changed that and it's ok if item is in cargohold now (yay!)

This.

For delivery missions, just contact the agent remotely and complete the mission at the destination. (NOT the agent's location.)

The whole cargo hold thing is weird - the item can be in the station hangar or in the active's ship cargo hold. Being in an inactive cargo hold, any ore hold or a container does not count.

Thanks to all for the advice. I will finish the other tutorials and either petition to restart the Business tutorial or go to another training facility and do the business tutorials from their agent.
