The correct answer is, "Sell your Tengu. Consider buying a new one after you have a better grasp of game mechanics, and can make your own fitting decisions."

You sound like a permant 'low ISK pilot"...well, I am sorry for you...but your comment does not contribute to the query in any way.

I'm not really sure what my wallet has to do with your competence, but I'm betting my NAV exceeds yours by at least a couple of zeroes.

The issue is that your posts make it obvious that you lack even a cursory awareness of basic game mechanics.

As an example.: "... adding the 3rd one (low slot) does not realy make a big difference...it for sure is the 4th one that makes the real difference."

Actually, no, the 4th one will make even less of a difference than the third, thanks to diminishing returns.

No, you are realy wrong there...the 4th BCS II installed is of the greater importance (and I learned that many months ago from one of the best players here in his loadouts clarifications).

As to your 2nd remark: we are not discussing skillpoints of players here(!)...having over a100 mil sp (you) or having only 24 mil sp (me) or any other person just starting with 2mil...well..I regard all players with the same respect and regards (since we are all here just for THE FUN!...but you seem to have forgotten that?)

They were pulling your leg or trolling you. Diminishing returns don't work that way.

Try it in EFT--you'll see that the third BCS adds a lot more than the 4th.

OK, thanks...that is a contribution of intrinsic value to the issue you made there

Oh, well if someone said so, then I guess diminishing returns aren't real and mathematics is wrong. Lol

The reason you put a 4th BCS on a Tengu is because you can put it on without really sacrificing anything else of importance - not because the 4th BCS is an important addition to the fit. There just isn't really anything else of any import to put in a low slot on an active tanked shield/missile boat, but MOAR DEEPS is always okay for mission running.

About the only time it would ever register as "important" is in the extreme edge-case of the added volley damage making the difference between something dying in one volley, or just barely surviving.

But frankly, if you're trying to do that kind of min/maxing, the operative question then becomes, "Why am I failfitting this thing with T2 BCS?"

I still did not dare to make use of (download) EFT because I did not know for sure it was safe to download. Most times I just analysed fittings of very good players and analyzed their clarifications and comparisons (worked well for me, must say I learned a lot by doing so). But of course a quick test on EFT would be more accurate (and faster, easier!) of course. I intend to download EFT some day.

I think that just answered my own question. :)

Yes it adds more than the 4th, and it's an obvious statment however don't ever say that adding even 12% dps is ot worth or a dumb argument.

The 4th BCU is 37.5% efficiencey over the first at 100% the second at 87.5 and so on but it's still more added dps than a 3% dps implant, believe it or not it's not a negligeable amount.

For a simple example, just plug in EFT thus paper dps but will give you a good image of how important it is, 4 CN BCUs vs 3 CN BCU's with HAM's, then tell us all about how useless the 4th one is.

Tis is also true for MFS and the reason why my navy mega underttanked gets a 4th MFS but you don't want to know how much of a differnce it makes with high dmg ammo, you could just not believe it.
Little plus all together always give a huge result and this is even more perceptible once you get all 5's

There she is again: "The woman that possesses all the skillpoints to drive a car(!!)....but...but...still failing to possess the means to even buy one"...yes..tragic story that is (I realy get the tears in my eyes now, while I type this....)

but as a reply to the your "comment":

Now, Haulie, I give you my advice (and take it from me that I am a highly educated person, to say the least): if you read that sentence you wrote earlier again...then now take some distance from it...and read it again!! ...and then you would no doubt realize that it does not contain any logics whatsoever at all!!!

Or, let me make this now understandable for even you: "when I get into my car..ALONE(!)....then I will not place any DUMMIES (puppets) on the empty seats, just to FILL THE EMPTY SLOTS" in the car!!! Now clear to you? I hope so, otherwise you would be realy lostahahahaha

8 months in Eve, you still have a lot to learn young padawan.

(Hell after like 5-6 years I'm still learning bits here and there...)

I'd be curious to have a look at your skillsheet though. (If you don't know how to do that, create an account here using your API key)
Once done, it should give you a page like this one. Please link it here :)

ha, no, no, this was not trolling on my part (I even had to look up the word "Trolling" to know what it meant). Must say, I recently saw a very good and entertaining very funny trolling on "EveBattleclinic"...was real funny: a person suggested/proposed a loadout for a Tengu (it is still there named "a real mans scanning ship" or something like that, as I recall)..was realy very funny...that loadout + ship totalled up for ISK 7.8 B????????????????????????????????? realy...some kind of "BLINGBLING" ship (maybe I should suggest that fitting to Haulie?hahaha)..he took for ever single slot the most expensive deadspace (or officers) equipment (even in cases where other equipment providing exactly the same specifications, but a 100 times cheaper, would be ok). Must say I had a big smile on my face reading the "analyzing comments" just as others following it, I suppose. So, sometimes I opine some real good, entertaining and funny trolling would be ok, when everybody has a good laugh about it.

Thanks for the kind reply, however, till now I have not used API and I never click on links in forums...this has nothing to do with you since I opine you are a sincere, kind and very skilled player....but in general I never click on any links in any forums on the internet.

And I of course agree with you: one keeps learning more and more about the possibilities of EVE each hour that we are online, yes, indeed.

However, using the CCP standard channels I will activate it (API) in the near future...and then I can inform you, so you can take a look at the skills and hopefully some good advice. Thx

Not... really sure why you think this. I am not among the mega space-rich, but given that I made a significant portion of what I have from T3 manufacturing, I feel confident in asserting that I probably have more money than someone who is struggling to fit a single Tengu (especially given that you're putting T2 BCS on a mission Tengu, which is a strictly space-plebe thing to do).

The issue here is not your isk or SPs, but your competence as a player. T3s, like capital ships, are basically of a class where, if you don't know how to fit it, you shouldn't be flying it yet.

the tengu has such a small hull buffer that a damage control is worthless. I'd fit a large shield extender and a passive EM hardener so you don't get alphaed by a single RF emp tornado, if you are paranoid like that. If you assume you will have time to activate mods then an active em hardener is even better (and I'd use an invlun too).
