Star Frontiers
A 0.0 NPC Based PvP Corp

About Us:

Star Frontiers is a 0.0 based PvP corp currently operating as a part of a Dirt Nap Squad. Allaince. We have a history of living all over 0.0 and have flown with a variety of coalitions and alliances as well as spent some stints operating as a solo 0.0 corp. We were founded six years ago by a group of seven friends who just wanted to have fun playing EVE together. We are settling into life in non-sov space and plan to make a home there while participating in sov fights.

We have never lost that "group of friends" feel, even as we have grown to 150 members, moved through over a dozen different regions and spent time in and out of alliances and coalitions. That being said we've managed to develop into a decent little PvP group and often live by the motto: "We're not elitists, we're just tired of fail." We are a social and supportive bunch while still striving for solid PvP performance.

We have a set of core and guiding principles that all of us adhere to (as much as we can) and they can be seen at www.star-frontiers.net in the recruitment section.

We currently live in NPC 0.0 and have access to excellent missioning and ratting but our emphasis is heavy on PvP. We offer the following perks and incentives:

- Excellent Logistics (we'll move your stuff for you!) -
- Corp Loaner Ships, Including Capitals -
- Generous Ship Replacement -
- Comms, Forums, and Jabber -
- ISK Based PvP and Recruiting Incentives -
- FC Training and Support -
- Open to All Skill Levels -
- Merger Options Available: Make Your Corp Part of Ours! -

What We Look For:

While we are fairly new player friendly, please know that we are not looking for just anyone. There is no formal teaching here in SF, but there is plenty of "on the job" training. All of our members and leadership are more than willing to teach you what you need to know to operate in 0.0. We don't troll, berate, or belittle - and offer a supportive environment in which to learn how to live and survive in 0.0 as a PvP pilot. No one who listens, learns and adapts well will fail in our corp. More experienced players are of course, highly welcome.

Conversely, you could have 50 million skill points and the ability to fly capital ships but if you can't be open minded, learn and adapt - you will find life difficult. Our motto above really does hold true - we don't expect you to be perfect, but we do expect you to strive to do better in a sincere and thoughtful way.

You should be able to fly a bomber and a pvp battlecruiser relatively easily. Currently we are highly interested in logistics pilots as well as pilots with decent gallente and drone skills. Goals for all pilots in the corp include black ops battleships, tech 3's, and capital ships.

Just a brief list of requirements of joining:

- Full API Security Check -
- Have a Mic for Comms -
- Must Live in 0.0 and PvP -
- Be Open Minded, Willing To Learn, and Adaptable -
- Be Fun To Fly With -
- Generally A 10 million SP minimum -

I joined Star Frontiers almost immediately after starting to play EVE. It was a little intimidating at first getting used to fleet mechanics and working together to achieve an objective against other players. But as soon as I could keep up with the fleet I was hooked on Nullsec, PvP, and living in space with a relatively small group of people that at some point would remember your name or, at the very least, your picture.

2 months into the game and I've enjoyed every second I've flown with [-S-F-]. I've experience what I believe is one of the purest forms of competition I've ever come accross. I'm up to 4 million skillpoints and every day I feel like I'm contributing more and more.

As for my corpmates, I couldn't ask for a better group of peers, leaders, and jokers. Every guy is a stand-up act and will usually do what they say they will. Qualified FCs, dedicated logistics dudes and movers, and general good fellowship is in abundance at Star Frontiers.

As for ways that you can impact the corp immediately? You can go on fleets and get kills, you can help our logisitics guys if you've got a jump freighter, you can join us on capital fleets, you can join us on 10 man roams, and BLOPS fleets of course. And there's even a spot for you industry minded people.

Our CEO Argus is a great guy, and so is everyone else in corp.

I didn't meet [-S-F-] while scrolling through the spam of the recruitment channel. I didn't find them using the Corporation page. They didn't send me a message first, and I didn't bump into one of their members.
I met them, across a table, in Iceland, with CCP Hellmar to my left, and the wonderful bastard that is the [-S-F-] CEO to my right, separated by some expensive cloth, some dam good food, and about two bottles of cider (which the Icelandic don't do as well as we Brits). This was the charity dinner of the 2013 Fanfest.

After taking my seat at the table, and fulfilling the need to order yet another drink, a conversation across the table had ensued. From gun control in America, to Icelandic food, hinting CCP Hellmar for PLEX (multiple times I might add), and of course EVE, the conversation went on. It was in the midst of these wonderful conversations that the highly intelligent Argus Sorn struck my interest, and wanting to converse more with him, we came to enjoy speaking to one another. The same had also occurred with MatthewMN over a few cigarettes.
It was only as the night was closing, did they elect to inform me of their Corporation - and swiftly, I was surrounded by identical business cards. I had toyed with the idea of joining the Corporation, but I wasn't sure if I was going to.

It was on another night, that I had met MatthewMN again, doing what all us healthy men do - smoking. After a number of cigarettes and quite a lot of drink, we decided to go, with some ladies we had met, to a few clubs.I really can't describe how awesome both MatthewNM and Kaemka were....And Kaemka has blue hair. He has blue hair.
The night went on, great times were had, truly.

After managing to barely get home, I slept, of course. In the next few days I managed to give my thanks to both Matthew and Argus for just being awesome guys - like truly awesome people, and as soon as I got to a computer I signed up, to join [-S-F-]

Why? Did I know they were an awesome Corp? No. Did I know they didn't actually suck? No. I didn't even know they held Sov. I didn't even know what alliance they were part of.
I really didn't know much when I joined. I joined for the simple reason being thus - you really don't meet people like this. Ever.
I pride myself in keeping good company, and my friends to me, who I've known for years, are like my brothers. I know a good person when I see one. I can genuinely say that you don't often meet people like these people. That's why I joined.

On top of that, the Corp is actually god damn awesome. We are badass! Fully epic. We have fun first and foremost. Our stats come second. But when we check our stats - they really are awesome.
So do yourself a favour. Join our channel. Go on our website. Climb a mountain and place a flag down for [-S-F-]
Do whatever you want - just at least talk to us, see what we are about. As a Junior Recruiter, I don't want more members, I want to get more amazing people in our Corp to be badass with, and have shennaigans with.
So do it. Right now. Log in, put the password in the box, join our channel. And prepare yourself for awesome.

Short and sweet, been in this corp for 5 1/2 years, never regretted it.... The people are real, the ceo is incredible and is always there for you, much respect for him still, and its been over 5 years, says alot huh? The people in corp? They care, they help you, make sure you have fun and help answer all your questions and have your back. And lots of pvp content to boot. What more could you ask for? If your lost and looking for direction in EVE, try us out, never hurts to enjoy a corp and have friends..

Well dudes much like STJ I wanted to keep this short so here goes:

Star Frontiers to me is a not a PVP corporation, it isn't even filled with people that will bend over backwards to get things done for you. For me its a collection of Old and New friends, some of whom I have known in RL for some time and others who I have met at FanFest and would happily call them close friends.

We are a tight knit group of Like minded individuals, yes in Star Frontiers you will be a individual and taken on your own merits, yes you can go fly in Huge alliance fleets and be the FC's drone bunny... anchor on him, target what he tells you to and press F1 when he orders you to, that is unfortunately part and parcel of todays SoV warfare, butts I hear you say... BUT (one T) We in -S-F- have not weathered the storm because of what a single person wants... we are the sum of all our pilots collective experiences, experiences we have forged through thick and thin, we the core of the corp have stood together side by side and have seen good pilots come and go, pilots we will happily have back, and some less so, generally the better pilots remain with us and our experiences and knowledge grows.

I can’t think of a better place for a new pilot to earn his wings, yes you will get trolled for stupid losses I have been there and I have done That... but in short all we expect of you is to learn from your experiences. Take it on the chin and carry on, have a question ask and it will get answered.

The only thing I would change is that I wish I found this Corporation earlier!!

Regards
Kilyun

What a long Strange Trip it's Been - A Star Frontiers Story
"Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens."
I've been trying to come up with a good way to explain SF, as there is no real way to explain it unless having experienced it yourself.

Background:
I joined SF, 1 yr and 7 months ago. I had started Eve back in 2005, while I was looking for a free game to play. I had gotten in some trouble in my small town. (As you know in a small town rumors run wild). So I went into hiding pretty much for a few months, I was 15 at the time.

I started this grand game called eve (which we all knew truly sucks :P yet we all still play it). I like most people noobs, who start this game, didn't understand it, and since I didn't find my "calling" in that first month quit.

A few years later, (I had played a month here and a month there) after I had gotten back from Iraq, started back in eve. I tried to form my own corp, and make something of my own (starting a corp in eve is fing hard).

We were doing ok for a little while. (I got robed lol, learned of spys, ect), but kept at it for a few months. Then while I was at some army training, one summer, I met someone else who played eve. (I think this was my main problem, I had no RL friends who would even touch this game, the one I did get to was back when I was in the "having no purpose phase").

He said him and another RL friend had a corp to join Sad State Of Affairs, we pewed, I got my first taste of pvping, and realized it was fun, but again started to fall into that "no purpose" zone again, and started to lose interest. So the CEO of that corp and myself started talking about moving into 0.0.

My memory is fading on the exact events, but I started looking in recruitment channels for an alliance to take us into the fold. One of the first convos I got was from someone from SF, and had my first introductions to Argus Sorn.

They did there schpeel, and asked us to merge with them, and myself and the CEO talked it over thought it sounded good, and went for it.

We moved our crap to Vehan, and they jumped it down to delve. SF was apart of Bricksquad at that time.

"And they rest is History"
After joining SF (Which I'm the only member from the previous corp who activly plays), we've had a great many adventures, and it allowed me to start FCing, and not be half bad at it. Or so I'm told. (I think I'm a terrible FC)

I started out in the corp with like 14 mil SP, and couldn't fly shiz lol. We moved around (which I found out SF is VERY good at), After the fall of delve we moved to curse, and joined Init., they moved up to Venal, and for a siege against goons.

We had a good time, and some lulz, then we moved back to Curse. At that point we decided we wanted to go it on our own, moved to Molden Heth, to try to help out a little alliance in Great Wild Lands, (REAL)... yeah anyone who has delt with those guys knows how that turned out... They're unhelpable, then moved up to Outer Ring, to try to pew pew it up here, which we did, and befriended a little alliance up there, but that never turned into anything, we moved to NPC Fountain, and bloppsed on test, we moved BACK to curse, lol, to join an alliance with some of our bros in it called "Thorn Alliance".

At this point we finally thought, "Alright, we've got some bros to fly with, and they appreciate our help, this will go somewhere". Which it did, we ended up joining the HBC, and moving back to Delve.

We found our culture and test culture meshed quite well. They are about having fun while getting **** done. Just as we are. (Call them what you want, but through all the scams/splurge, they are a good group of people)

We remained stable in the HBC, for almost 9 months, and grew our self as a corp and built up a nice nest egg, for the next adventure.

Which unbeknown to us was right around the corner, when Raiden started a massive internal assault on the HBC. (Bob strikes again).

Fanfest 2013
BUT, we were dedicated, we poured our heart and soul into Thorn alliance, and during FF 2013, Thorn Alliance stopped.
My memory of this is quite clear. I log on one morning after being in Iceland for a day and am told by a fellow alliance leader "Thorn is done, Thorn Syndicate will be leaving within the next couple day."

So I'm like FUU lol, Luckily, we had 9 people in Iceland from SF, including our CEO Argus sorn, so me at this time (I had ascended the ranks in SF and at this point), So we go out to breakfast/dinner unsure which lol, I was drunk most my trip in Iceland, and decide what we were going to do.

As soon as I heard the Alliance was disbanding, I got on the horn, and contacted someone in INK, and secured us a spot. (Lol, we do things quick in SF)

We decided Ink honestly was the logical choice, there US TZ was lacking, and SF has always been about "Helping the Little Guy"

. And now that's where we are at,
-We've led alliance/been in alliance leadership.
-We've moved all across eve
-Maintained our Leadership
-No Major Incidents we couldn't handle
-The core never leave

Now if you took the time to read everything above, your probably asking, Why in the world would people stick through everything that's happend, the moving, the relocation, ect.

Well, "Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens."

SF, is family, SF is more than family, and as long as you actually want to be a part of the family, you'll never want to leave.

I've had offers from dozens of different Corp, and never once, have I even considered leaving SF.

Now, I'm newish to the corp, Though going on 1 yr 7 months, I suppose I can finally count myself as "not new", but SF gives me the freedom to do what I want, while supporting me fully through my **** ups.

Running out of room on this post... TLDR: Join SF lol

You can see that our members take being in SF quite seriously. It is not a little thing to them.

We are a family, yet we manage some high level stuff from time to time - it has taken years to build that sort of balance and we'd love for you to be a part of it.

Time for a story Big smile

One weekday night a long while back before joining Star Frontiers, I had logged in and an alliance mate was leading a small Dread fleet. Some of the Dread pilots were newer to the ship at that time, so as a bit of training exercise they were doing a POS kill.

I grabbed a ship and headed over to chill and chat with the bros.

There were 5 Dreds and a very small group of support ships (12 to 15 max in comms).

We had a neut in system and the casual topic of the day was how much that may matter. The fleet was aware but one FC not leading, was debating (based on politics) that the neut was unlikely to do anything. Hindsight would have its day with him, on this one.

Our alliance brosef and FC was considering popping another cyno to bring in someone else but it would be his last shot of LO. Given I was just chilling this quiet night, I thought it best to go grab some 4 or 5 jumps out.

In the meantime the fleet is on about its business … cut to now a handful neuts next door. The FC calls for siege red and all non-cap pilots to gate ASAP. By this time I had been chatting with Jaha, Paridav and now Eugene1 in our corp a bit.

Paridav, I think was going to join the POS kill having been asking about it. I had mentioned the neut and as I mentioned the now small group of neuts next door, Paridav started relaying info from comms to our corp. With a minute or two on the siege status, they were now were coming in to system! By now I am back with the fleet and at the gate engaging.

Dreds were getting off field and the cyno is up!! Nyx on the field!! “Get back from the gate!” Land and bump. FC …”Bump him! Bump him!.

We slammed the Nyx like a ping pong ball until bubbled. The one Dred tackled gets out with 10% armor! (Literally)

Brosefs on the way… Eugene has a hoard of bubbles to back up our now glowing NYX, Jaha says he doesn’t feel like killing a Nyx today (Kidding!) he arrived and engaged. Paridav was mean and on scene~

Another cyno lights up and two hostile carriers arrive which we decimated while the Nyx’s fighters and fighter bombers were all but gone at this point. An odd thing that killing two carriers felt secondary while starring at the golden jewel of a Nyx that was bubbled into submission. Relief and elation followed, as the second carrier dropped so that we could indulge our palpable lust to get the damage back on the Nyx (I had just been chilling and shooting a POS!).

Finally with glowing bubbles and ships raining heavy damage the Nyx is Down!!

A night intended on a bit of training gets becomes awesome game content (and some tasty salvage) Cool

So this FC I was talking about was/is MathewMN of Star Frontiers, still getting his feet wet at the time with cap fleets. Now I am with Star Frontiers, a five year old established corp that is very fresh and active.

You can join us and start playing Eve Max instead of Eve light.

You may be surprised at the many ways you can contribute and have fun from small roams to large battles with Titans in your overview.
