PvP corps cover a very broad range. There are those specializing in low/high/nul sec. Pirate corps, merc corps, war dec corps, faction warfare corps, nul sec sov holders...... etc. So asking who the good PvP corps are is relative to what interests you.

Requirements are as varied as the types of corp. Some will give anyone a chance, other's have some reasonable SP requirements, still others require 10's of millions of skill points.

If you're interested in nul sec, send me a message in game. Our alliance has an academy corp that offers PvP lessons in both high sec and 0.0.

Now this is the sort of thread I like to see. Good luck with your search, you seem to have the attitude to get you through the early trials.

Its already been said, but Red Federation (and I supposed Blue Republic are ok too) are a good starting point to learn the basics is a supportive environment. Eve Uni is good for learning the game, but are probably not the best place for eager pvpers. And since I've yet to see them mentioned, I'm told Brave Newbies are a good place for, well, brave newbies, to get their hands dirty.

Thanks, I'll be sure to take a look a them as well!

Having just sold my first pilots license, I'm feeling a little flush. Admittedly I almost lost it to a scam, one click away before I decided to read the contract amount again. Is that a form of Pvp? It certainly made my eyes go wide when I realized what I was about to do.

Now that it's safely sold for a good amount, I feel a Rifter army might be in order as well as some learning implants :)

If you want to give industry a try, contact me. It may not be your cup of tea, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I don't always do shit. But when I do, it's usually worth doing.

Have not fought this man, but I heard he's a wonderful PVPer and doesn't afraid of anything (except if you mess up his hairdo)

First off, I'm loving it so far and I've not even gotten the chance to shoot at anything except NPC ships so far.

After asking around in Rookie Help channel I've learned it's best to train for something like the rifer and then do some core skills along with learning the skills needed to warp disrupt and web something. So that's currently what I'm doing while working through the tutorials.

When considering corps that might train me in Pvp, how long should I wait before applying? Or how much SP should I expect to have before they might consider me worth training.

Also! Who are they? Should I just post in the recruitment forums?

IDK that i could give you a min skill point limit before applying to pvp corps but you prob need to make sure you have at least a few important skills trained sufficiently:

Skills related to your guns or missiles like rapid fire, rapid launch, etc and the supporting skills for tracking
Skills related to your defense (tank) shield or armor skills as well as resistance skills
Basic fitting skills like electronics and engineering to 5 as well as weapon upgrades and advanced weapon upgrades.

As for beginning pvp corps:

RVB
Eve Uni
Agony Empire

There are probably a few others you might consider.

Solid advice, though I wouldn't put Agony on that list as a corp.

Agony itself is not a "beginner" PvP corp. Their classes are great to join though.
